Too bad about the covid.
Usually its fun to go walk around downtown, and bump into interesting stuff, but this year it seemed pretty mellow. The usual advertisement photo shoots didn't seem to be taking place.

Usually its fun to go walk around downtown, and bump into interesting stuff, but this year it seemed pretty mellow. The usual advertisement photo shoots didn't seem to be taking place.
Yeah, there was a lot less stuff outside than usual. Did you walk around the back of the convention center? The area where they usually have a huge adult swim area was empty. There was just a tiny little kiosk thing with a window advertising their own convention.
Everyone is trying to do their own convention now and not coming to SDCC anymore.
I usually just stick to Seaport Village and have fun during traffic. I don't live downtown but the whole county used to get flooded with characters. Pre-Covid of course.
My favorite ComiCon memory is Darth Vader taking pictures at the Imperial Beach Pier.
