El flotador de la avena / The oatmeal float

Caminando por el pastizal,
una avena en hojuela va,
no se detiene, va de afán,
apurada pasa por acá.

Walking through the pasture,
an oat flake goes,
it doesn't stop, it goes in a hurry,
in a hurry it passes this way.

Se trepa en un árbol,
quiere buscar algo
y cuando llega a lo alto,
observa el paisaje con cuidado.

He climbs a tree,

Y baja a buscar una flor,
que desde el dosel encontró,
la lleva, sin preocupación,
con esmero y emoción.

Una flor para sobrenadar,
la avena quería al agua entrar
y esta amarilla bien flotara,
no permitirá,
que la avena en hojuela se hidrate de más.
