El corazón del sol

Al otro lado de la ciudad, un corazón amarillo solo va, camina sobre el pavimento con habilidad y si un carro pasa, se hace a un lado para que no lo vayan a lastimar. Cuando le da hambre, busca comida en un restaurante, pero corriendo sale, porque ahí no regalan alimentos a los corazones de colores agradables.

On the other side of the city, a yellow heart just goes, walks on the pavement with skill and if a car passes by, he moves aside so he won't get hurt. When he gets hungry, he looks for food in a restaurant, but he runs away, because they don't give food to the nice colored hearts there.

El corazón sigue su camino, hasta que encuentra un amigo, es un árbol viejo, que conoció cuando paseaba en el cielo. Con habilidad en él se trepa, sin necesidad de escalera y cuando a la parte alta llega, extiende los brazos, esperando que alguien venga.

The heart goes on its way, until it finds a friend, it is an old tree, which it met when it was walking in the sky. Skillfully he climbs it, without the need of a ladder, and when he reaches the top, he stretches out his arms, waiting for someone to come along.

Y llega el sol, con su hermoso resplandor, toma el corazón, lo abraza y lo pone en su interior. Aquel corazón amarillo, era el del sol que se había perdido, ahora está donde siempre ha estado, en un lugarcito cálido en lo alto.

And the sun arrives, with its beautiful radiance, takes the heart, embraces it and puts it inside. That yellow heart was the heart of the sun that had been lost, now it is where it has always been, in a warm little place on high.
