#QuarantineLife Initiative. Activities of any day of social isolation

in GEMS5 years ago

Hi everyone.

It is a pleasure for me to respond to @theycallmedan's initiative, where he wants to know the history of each one of us in relation to the coronavirus, this pandemic that is causing a number of deaths in different parts of the world. In some countries preventive measures were not taken into account in relation to this virus, and today there are many deaths.

My story of quarantine or social isolation (coronavirus)

¿What is your coronavirus history? How has it affected you? (your life, financially, health or other)

I never thought that my country Venezuela was hit by this COVID-19 virus, I saw the country of origin (Wuhan) of this virus so far away, that it never crossed my mind that it would become a pandemic and attack the entire world. It has affected me psychologically, I think a lot, I do not want to go out, I live locked up, every 8 days I go out to buy food, not much because the money is not enough, I would like to have enough money to buy food, to fill the pantry, at least to a month and not go out, take shelter, I am a woman with a basic disease, I have autoimmune thyroiditis, I am terrified that it can infect me, my mother is an 82-year-old woman and I must take good care of her, since older people if they become infected with the virus it is very lethal for them, she lives with me, my daughter also lives with us and a 9-year-old nephew, who cared for him because his mother works with the health area, is a bioanalyst and she lives very close and brings my nephew so that we take care of him and help in school tasks. My partner is a doctor, unfortunately he went to Colombia for 3 months, he was looking for a better quality of life, but he is also facing this pandemic, the situation is difficult worldwide.

¿You or someone you know has been affected by the coronavirus, how are they now, how was it for them?

Near where I live in a community a patient with coronavirus was detected, it is a woman, she came from Peru and arrived in Venezuela on March 16, the lady was irresponsible, because she already had symptoms and did not keep the quarantine, she felt fatigued and She was unable to attend any health center to have the test done, neighbors reported her and a health group went to the lady's house to check if it was true, they did the rapid test to diagnose the coronavirus and it was positive, The lady had the symptoms of the coronavirus (cough, shortness of breath, fatigue and fever). She was transferred to a health center and is still hospitalized. She is stable, treatment is being applied, and results of the test are expected from people who were in contact with the lady.
Immediately the national government decreed contingency measures and a state of alarm in this town and throughout the country. He applied the motto I stay at home. Currently in the country there are 161 cases diagnosed with coronavirus of which 7 have died.

¿You have used this time to strengthen ties with your loved ones, you think you will leave this best person?

The time that I have been locked up together with my family in quarantine, I feel that family ties have been strengthened, we are more aware of each other, through phone calls, wasap, email, pending of our family members who have had to leave of the country, in search of a better quality of life. With this pandemic I have valued the human being more, for all the difficulties they have had to live through and those who have had to suffer from this virus and have survived, that we have to look more for the spiritual part, believe more in God, pray much and much Faith that this pandemic will soon end, that scientists find a cure, and when all this happens, we will be more sensitive to the adversities that our peers or ourselves suffer.

¿Do you have photos / videos to share where you are ducking? Show us how you spend your 24 hours as an xD prisoner.

Yes, during these weeks of quarantine I have done many things, those that occur to me, we play Ludo, I read a book, I cut my nails and paint them, I order the closet, I help my nephew to review his tasks, I wash the washing machine I hang the washed clothes to dry in the sun, I made some loaves stuffed with cheese, I publish in Hive, I cook and so many activities during this social isolation. Every day I do different activities, you have to avoid falling into depression.

Well written. We required a pandemic to prove that we all are human.
