Hola amigos de Gems espero que se encuentren muy bien, estoy feliz de mostrarles lo que fue mi ultima semana celebrando el cumpleaños de mi mamá y de mi papá, fue una colaboración de todos para que todo se lograra y la verdad es que lo más importante de todo es que tanto mi mamá y mi papá lo disfrutaron y estuvieron muy felices en sus respectivos días.
Hello friends of Gems I hope you are doing well, I am happy to show you what was my last week celebrating the birthday of my mom and my dad, it was a collaboration of all to make it all happen and the truth is that the most important thing is that both my mom and my dad enjoyed it and were very happy in their respective days.
Para celebrar el día 06 de Junio cumpleaños de mi papá, junto a una de sus hermanas mayores realizamos un almuerzo de hamburguesas, dónde las encargadas de preparar las hamburguesas fueron mi mamá y mi hermana, realizaron unas hamburguesas de pollo rebosado y frito en un capa de harina de trigo, muy crujientes, las salsas básicas y agregando una buena ración de papas fritas para acompañar el platillo, de bebidas tomamos un trago especial preparado por mi mamá, de sangría y limón.
To celebrate my dad's birthday on June 6th, together with one of his older sisters, we had a hamburger lunch, where my mom and my sister were in charge of preparing the hamburgers, they made chicken burgers fried in a layer of wheat flour, very crispy, the basic sauces and adding a good portion of fries to accompany the dish, for drinks we had a special drink prepared by my mom, sangria and lemon.
Para cantar el cumpleaños acompañamos la torta junto a una natilla preparada por su hermana, combinada junto a esas hojitas de limón que ven arriba que le dio un gusto delicioso y cítrico al postre. Esto fue un detalle que no nos esperábamos, fue su regalo de ella a él, y este es uno de los postres favoritos de mi papá -uno de los tantos postres que le encantan- y por su puesto que se emocionó al verlo.
To sing the birthday song we accompanied the cake with a custard prepared by his sister, combined with those lemon leaves you see above that gave a delicious and citric taste to the dessert. This was a detail that we did not expect, it was her gift to him, and this is one of my dad's favorite desserts -one of the many desserts he loves- and of course he was thrilled to see it.
El pastel de chocolate fue realizado por mi mamá, y se compraron los materiales con la ayuda de sus hermanas, siendo parte de su regalo para él, esto es debido a que es una tradición muy respetada en mi familia, cada quien merece y debe tener su pastel y cantarle cumpleaños junto a él, como si de una ley no escrita se tratara, dicen "un cumpleaños sin pastel y sin la familia no es cumpleaños"
The chocolate cake was made by my mom, and the materials were bought with the help of her sisters, being part of her gift to him, this is because it is a very respected tradition in my family, everyone deserves and must have their cake and sing birthday with him, as if it were an unwritten law, they say "a birthday without cake and without the family is not a birthday".
Finalmente como parte de mi regalo a él le quise obsequiar una espuma para afeitar debido a que días antes había manifestado que no tenía y que cada vez que se rasuraba el rostro le ardía mucho el rostro, acompañé el regalo junto a unas golosinas que no tardó en comerlas todas ese mismo día, mi papá es un tema con los dulces y golosinas, le encantan.
Finally as part of my gift to him I wanted to give him a shaving foam because days before he had said that he had none and that every time he shaved his face it burned him a lot, I accompanied the gift with some candy that he did not take long to eat them all that day, my dad is a subject with sweets and treats, he loves them.
Y ni hablar de esas barras de avena que ven en la foto, son una de sus favoritas y son parte de su debilidad, lastimosamente no conseguí las de fresa que son sus favoritas, pero tal como él me dijo: "Mientras sean de avena yo me las como"
And not to mention those oatmeal bars you see in the picture, they are one of his favorites and are part of his weakness, unfortunately I didn't get the strawberry ones which are his favorite, but as he told me: "As long as they are oatmeal I'll eat them".

Más tarde esa noche cantamos cumpleaños con una torta de chocolate, merengue de vainilla y duraznos en dulce, intente hacer una receta de esta torta, pero fue casi imposible, pasaron tantas cosas que finalmente no seguí tomando fotografías del paso a paso, se nos fue la electricidad mientras batía los ingredientes, luego faltaba un huevo porque uno de los que había comprado se quebró en la bolsa, finalmente en el horno se desbordó la torta y pensamos que se había quemado. Quizás deben pensar todo lo que nos estresamos pero la verdad nos daba risa como habían sucedido tantas cosas para que la torta se horneara y decorara que nos causaba gracia, tomamos las cosas con calma y el resultado de la torta que quedó muy sabrosa.
Later that night we sang birthday with a chocolate, vanilla meringue and sweet peaches cake, I tried to make a recipe for this cake, but it was almost impossible, so many things happened that finally I did not continue taking pictures of the step by step, the electricity went out while I was beating the ingredients, then an egg was missing because one of the ones I had bought broke in the bag, finally in the oven the cake overflowed and we thought it had burned. Maybe you should think how stressed we were but the truth is that we were laughing at how so many things had happened for the cake to be baked and decorated that it was funny, we took things calmly and the result of the cake was very tasty.
Finalmente pasamos esa noche jugando scrabble y escuchando música mi papá, mi mamá, mi hermana y yo. Fue un día diferente dónde hizo bastante calor pero al caer la noche el ambiente estuvo fresco es una suave llovizna que nos relajó, disfrutamos de un delicioso almuerzo y también disfrutamos el esfuerzo que llevó realizar la torta que nos quedará como una chistosa anécdota para contar. Mis papás la pasaron genial y todos disfrutamos uno de los placeres de la vida que es comer con buena compañía. Nos leemos luego amigos.
We finally spent that night playing scrabble and listening to music with my dad, my mom, my sister and me. It was a different day where it was quite hot but at nightfall the atmosphere was cool with a light drizzle that relaxed us, we enjoyed a delicious lunch and we also enjoyed the effort it took to make the cake that will remain as a funny anecdote to tell. My parents had a great time and we all enjoyed one of life's pleasures which is eating with good company. See you later friends.
