Why You Should Have And Keep Faith

Faith according to the Oxford dictionary is complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Man was born with nothing including faith but to live without one would amount more or less to being spineless. Faith then should best be based on logical conclusions but most of it is grounded in emotions. With this in mind then there is no doubt as to the fact that the faithful must possess the ability to hold on to their convictions even in the face of tribulations.

Faith doesn't necessarily mean subscription to any of the worlds major religions which for most is usually a choice of convenience just like inheritance. Most of us were born or raised into the things we came to believe in. Faith is not unshakable but we dare not question it or we might upset the natural order. How much better then to have faith.

Without faith not much can be achieved. A convinced mind will take the bold step and make a convincing move. And results are the consequences of our actions while taking nothing away from fortune.Suffice it then to say its not just enough to have faith but keeping it is where the real test lies for there is always a tendency for cracks to appear under pressure. When doubt and fear sip in, faith usually slips. Holding faith then could make the difference between failure and success.

And faith put in motion is still the recipe for success. When the Israelites met with the Red Sea in their front and the pursuing army of Pharoah at their rear while fleeing Egypt, it took faith for those children of God to follow Moses in the daring march across the sea according to Biblical accounts. And still when Caesar decided to march his much smaller legion across the Rubicon from Gaul into Italy and then do battle with Pompey's larger force, that was faith put to the test. Whether just in oneself or an external force but better both, one must have and keep faith.

Faith then can be looked upon as the root that holds the tree out of the earth and that is why one should not lose it. And if in any case you break under a heavy storm which is inevitable in our world, you must quickly find faith or risk ruin. So as you step out of your closet today and any other day as a matter of living, wear the courage of the faithful and keep it till the end. For like the saying goes 'he who cannot endure the pain,cannot enjoy the gain'. Make an effort not to fail yourself and those who find something in you worth believing in.
