Don't be surprise if a lot of people here (including me) would be able to resonate with your life and stories! Just like you, I'm leaning towards having a simple yet present life with more freedom to do more creative stuff, or rest for a long time, or perhaps be lazy from time to time. I used to fear that others would judge me as a failure after quitting the corporate world or jumping from one thing or another but I did learned that it was the greatest blessing I had received. If not, I wouldn't be here on Hive and enjoying the freedom I have now. 😊 So I'm so excited for your journey here and yes, you will meet a lot of amazing people along the way!

Anyways, you can share your artworks in Sketchbook. Or perhaps share your dad's recipes in Foodies Bee Hive. The Ink Well is an amazing community where you can share fictional stories you have originally made. Meet fellow book lovers in Hive Book Club. Lastly, I'm am looking forward to reading some of the amazing beaches you have traveled, Pinmapple is the place to share that. You can also check out our different Communities and see what interests you.
Not sure what interface you are using, but I recommend you using peakd. Simply use your hive username and posting key to login.
To help you on your journey here, you can read How To Get A Great Start on the Hive Blockchain or check out some resources in newbies-guide. Also, engaging with the community makes it much easier to build your network and gain support. And lastly, Plagiarism and any form of abuse is considered a serious offense. Navigating here on Hive can be somewhat tricky so make sure to check out the things mentioned above.

Thank you for that vote of confidence. I used to question my choices a bit and sometimes what people thought would get me down, but I decided to throw all of that out the window and just be ME, so its really wonderful to know that I am likely to find a lot more of that here. I already have... even with you it seems, lolz!
Thank you so much for the kind gestures and helpful comment. I will definitely check our your suggestions. Yes, I am using Peakd now. I wasn't in the beginning - but I saw a few people mentioning it and yes, it is MUCH better and also more user friendly.
It has been quite a bit to take in, but even though I spend my most of my life barefoot and shopping for vintage goodies haha, I do also spend a lot of time on technology for my freelance work, so I think I am picking it up at an ok speed lolz! I am not on discord though. I will take a look at that more closely when I have some time. I always thought that was just more for gamers and stuff, but I guess you learn something new every day hehe!
