Pensamiento Libre: definiendo las bases creadoras de nuestra autonomía. - Free Thought: defining the creative bases of our autonomy.

Resulta irrelevante, y hasta muy poco práctico, hablar de esa maravillosa capacidad procedimental de la que todos nosotros nos vemos beneficiados a la hora de construir ideas sin primero hacer mención a la libertad mental e intelectual que gira en torno a tales apotegmas, ¿no creen? Por ende, adhiriéndome a la narrativa de la cavilación, en esta oportunidad abordaré de manera breve y sencilla el especial sentido que pueden guardar nuestros pensamientos y su estrecha relación con la libertad expresiva por la cual nuestras ideas son creadas a partir del principio reflexivo con base en mi apreciación personal.

It is irrelevant, and even impractical, to talk about that wonderful procedural capacity from which all of us benefit when building ideas without first mentioning the mental and intellectual freedom that revolves around such apothegmas, don't you think? Therefore, adhering to the narrative of thought, on this occasion I will briefly and simply address the special meaning that our thoughts can have and their close relationship with the expressive freedom by which our ideas are created from the reflective principle based on my personal appreciation.

Debido a su propia naturaleza el pensamiento puede entenderse de dos formas; orgánicamente puede ser atribuido a esa parte de nuestro ser dónde se considera que son almacenadas las ideas producidas por la mente humana, mientras que desde una perspectiva más empírica el pensamiento consiste en ser la actividad creadora de la mente donde se conciben las ideas y representaciones basadas en la realidad, pues esto sugiere que todo lo traído y proyectado sobre la existencia es a partir del intelecto.

Due to its own nature thought can be understood in two ways; organically it can be attributed to that part of our being where ideas produced by the human mind are considered to be stored, while from a more empirical perspective thought consists of being the creative activity of the mind where ideas and representations based on reality are conceived, since this suggests that everything brought into existence and projected on it is from the intellect.

Opino que todo aquello que provenga de la naturaleza mental tiene que ver con el pensamiento, desde las actividades racionales y reflexivas del intelecto hasta la abstracción de la mismísima imaginación, debido a que dicho termino suele utilizarse de manera genérica para definir al producto resultante que se origina a partir de la mente propiamente dicha. Sin embargo, considero importante acotar que en materia del pensamiento, más allá de su carácter mayoritariamente personal e individual, este también puede resultar pluralista ya que sobre su propia conceptualización reposa la coordinación del trabajo creativo que ataña a diversos individuos con una perspectiva unificada en el contexto intelectual de un principio institucional, social, cultural o, sencillamente, de un ideal preconcebido, tal es el caso de los múltiples ejemplos de los que el arte nos puede conceder a través de sus corrientes traducidas en pensamientos colectivos, tales como el Expresionismo, el Constructivismo e inclusive el Modernismo en su más pura, renovadora y particularmente libre forma de interpretación.

I believe that everything that comes from the mental nature has to do with thought, from the rational and reflexive activities of the intellect to the abstraction of the imagination itself, because this term is usually used in a generic way to define the resulting product that originates from the mind itself. However, I consider it important to point out that in matters of thought, beyond its mostly personal and individual character, it can also be pluralistic since on its own conceptualization rests the coordination of the creative work that involves diverse individuals with a unified perspective in the intellectual context of an institutional principle, social, cultural or simply of a preconceived ideal, such is the case of the many examples that art can grant us through its currents translated into collective thoughts, such as Expressionism, Constructivism and even Modernism in its purest, renovating and particularly free form of interpretation.

Ahora, ¿qué se puede decir sobre lo que es la libertad? Simple, esta es interpretada, según mi percepción, como la fundamental y esencial capacidad humana de obrar en base a nuestra propia voluntad sin necesidad de verse condicionado y/o esclavizado al deseo de otras personas de manera coercitiva, pues más particularmente la libertad de expresión, un elemento indispensable para darle cabida al pensamiento, consiste en ese principio capaz de apoyar la independencia intelectual y moral de un individuo o de toda una sociedad para el fomento articulado de sus ideas y opiniones sin temor a la adopción ajena de represalias, es decir, censura o sanciones que menoscaben su capacidad de manifestarse libremente.

Now, what can be said about what freedom is? Simple, it is interpreted, in my view, as the fundamental and essential human capacity to act on the basis of our own will without being conditioned and/or enslaved to the desire of others in a coercive manner, since more particularly freedom of expression, an indispensable element for making room for thought, consists of that principle which is capable of supporting the intellectual and moral independence of an individual or of a whole society for the articulated promotion of their ideas and opinions without fear of the adoption by others of reprisals, that is to say, censorship or sanctions that undermine their capacity to express themselves freely.

Con relación a lo argumentado previamente sobre ambos conceptos podemos decir que si el pensamiento funge ser una facultad virtuosa para la edificación de nuestras ideas, la libertad de expresión resulta ser, más que un derecho inextinguible e inalienable, un elemento eficaz para establecer una relación complementaria con el fin de ser quienes somos para construir lo que anhelamos en virtud del disfrute de nuestra experiencia humana, pues la razón de existir, al menos una de las más importantes para mí, se sustenta en la facultad que poseemos de proyectar en el plano real lo que en principio creamos en nuestra propia mente, pero es imprescindible tener siempre presente que la libertad y el libertinaje son cuestiones muy diferentes, por ello recomiendo un uso consciente de nuestra potestad de obrar en función a la voluntad de la que gozamos, de lo contrario podemos vernos involucrados en el cometimiento de uno de los errores más graves y típicos acaecidos sobre este mundo a veces tan volátil y complejo: el excesivo accionar irracional producto de la mala interpretación otorgada al hecho que implica ser absolutamente libres.

In relation to what was previously argued about both concepts, we can say that if thought serves as a virtuous faculty for the construction of our ideas, freedom of expression turns out to be, more than an inextinguishable and inalienable right, an effective element to establish a complementary relationship in order to be who we are to build what we yearn for by virtue of the enjoyment of our human experience, since the reason for existence, at least one of the most important for me, is based on the faculty that we possess to project on the real plane what we believe in principle in our own mind, but it is essential to always keep in mind that freedom and debauchery are very different matters, so I recommend a conscious use of our power to act according to the will that we enjoy, otherwise we can get involved in committing one of the most serious and typical errors that occur in this sometimes so volatile and complex world: the excessive irrational action resulting from the misinterpretation of the fact that it implies being absolutely free.

La importancia vital del pensamiento reside en que bajo sus patrones cognitivos se estructura el andamiaje mental donde la experiencia y la realidad son conceptualizadas, gracias a esto dicha capacidad guarda una clara e inequívoca relación con cada aspecto de nuestra cotidianidad en virtud a la apreciación que le concedemos al entorno donde solemos desenvolvernos, pues el hecho de pensar se encuentra vinculado a la reflexión mental, a las representaciones virtuales basadas en el proceso psicológico racional de conocer, comprender y juzgar los hechos y nuestros propios objetivos, a la función expresiva del lenguaje para darle paso a la comunicación y el entendimiento, pero sobretodo este se encuentra vinculado al fenómeno psicológico objetivo que deriva del pensar para resolver los problemas que puedan aquejarnos en nuestro día a día, por ello digo que la libertad inicia a raíz de la infinidad de nuestros pensamientos y de nosotros sólo depende materializarlos en la vida material para así edificar las bases de nuestra independencia personal.

The vital importance of thinking lies in the fact that under its cognitive patterns the mental scaffolding is structured where experience and reality are conceptualized. Thanks to this, this capacity has a clear and unequivocal relationship with every aspect of our daily life by virtue of the appreciation we give to the environment in which we tend to operate, since the fact of thinking is linked to mental reflection, to virtual representations based on the rational psychological process of knowing, understand and judge the facts and our own objectives, to the expressive function of language to give way to communication and understanding, but above all this is linked to the objective psychological phenomenon that derives from thinking to solve the problems that may afflict us in our daily lives, so I say that freedom begins from the infinity of our thoughts and we only depend on materializing them in material life to build the foundations of our personal independence.

Para concluir, muchos dicen que, entre tantas formas de libertad, la libertad de pensamiento es la única disponible sobre este mundo, pero yo opino que ésta se trata de la única libertad existente ya que es a partir de ella de dónde deriva la verdadera soberanía del ser humano, las limitaciones impuestas sólo resultan ser efectos colaterales del mal manejo de la autonomía mental de la que gozamos y a la que eventualmente somos susceptibles a ser esclavizados, pues para evitar eso lo mejor es nutrir al pensamiento con ideales y principios que fomenten nuestra propia independencia como una fuerza expresionista renovadora cuyo potencial de creación absoluta sea la base en la que repose nuestra propia existencia.

In conclusion, many say that, among so many forms of freedom, freedom of thought is the only one available on this world, but I believe that this is the only freedom that exists because it is from it that the true sovereignty of the human being derives, the limitations imposed only turn out to be side effects of the mishandling of the mental autonomy we enjoy and to which we are eventually susceptible to be enslaved, because to avoid that the best thing is to nourish thought with ideals and principles that foster our own independence as a renewing expressionist force whose absolute creation potential is the basis on which our own existence rests.

Recuerden que el proceso del pensamiento resulta ser un medio efectivo para planificar acciones y gestionar soluciones eficaces entre lo que hay y lo que se proyecta, por ende debemos otorgarle un uso provechoso para nuestro propio crecimiento y evolución. ¡Hasta la próxima, amigos!
