¿Qué es el mundo para ti? Para mí, más allá de tratarse de una ambigüedad para referirse al planeta Tierra, consiste en la atribución que se le es conferida por parte del ser humano a la sublime experiencia que circunda en la vida misma sobre este gran orbe, además de su civilización, su cultura y los otros aspectos que lo destacan por ser el núcleo que alberga todas las formas de existencia que constituyen nuestro entorno, aunque más abstractamente también puede considerarse a la naturaleza y al imponente universo físico que nos rodea como parte esencial de lo que percibimos como mundo en su comprensión más orgánica. Sabemos que para entender al mundo primero es necesario conocerlo, ¿no es así? Por ello en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes cuatro momentos excepcionales capturados en fotografía referenciando cuatro lugares que he tenido la dicha de visitar y apreciar durante mis modestas aventuras como viajero y curioso descubridor de sitios inmaculados y el aprendizaje que cada uno de ellos dejó en mí.
What is the world to you? For me, beyond the ambiguity of referring to planet Earth, it consists of the attribution that is conferred by the human being to the sublime experience that surrounds life itself on this great orb, in addition to its civilization, its culture and the other aspects that highlight it as the nucleus that houses all the forms of existence that constitute our environment, although more abstractly it can also be considered to nature and the imposing physical universe that surrounds us as an essential part of what we perceive as the world in its most organic understanding. We know that in order to understand the world we must first know it, don't we? That is why in this opportunity I would like to share with you four exceptional moments captured in photography referencing four places that I have had the joy of visiting and appreciating during my modest adventures as a traveler and curious discoverer of immaculate sites and the learning that each one of them left in me.
Antes de entrar en contexto con respecto a las fotografías que me gustaría mostrarles primero creo conveniente hacer énfasis en lo que es una experiencia y la importancia que guarda el hecho de experimentar a través de los lugares que visitamos y nos damos la labor de disfrutar para así aprender sobre la inmensidad de todo aquello que directa o indirectamente se relaciona con lo que somos: seres emocionales cargados de energía vital.
Before entering into the context of the photographs I would like to show you, I think it is convenient to emphasize what an experience is and the importance of experiencing through the places we visit and give ourselves the task of enjoying, in order to learn about the immensity of everything that directly or indirectly relates to what we are: emotional beings charged with vital energy.
Una experiencia es interpretada sencillamente como una forma de conocimiento adquirido que deriva de la observación, la participación y la vivencia de algún acontecimiento y esta a su vez se encuentra estrechamente relacionada con la habilidad de comprobación presencial de la que todos nosotros somos practicantes de manera consciente o inconsciente en muchas situaciones de nuestra vida cotidiana. Ahora, ¿cuál es su importancia? Más sencillo aún, debido a que la experiencia en su forma más práctica se refiere al conocer de las cosas, dicho conocimiento puede interpretarse como una cualidad empírica, es decir, sobre su esencia reposa el sentido procedimental que le otorgamos a algo y cómo hacerlo en vez de, como resulta en la mayoría de los casos, limitarnos a un mero conocimiento factual que gira en función sólo a qué es ese algo nada más, pues lo cierto del asunto es que en las experiencias radica una adquisición de aprendizaje como herramienta no sólo para comprender las cosas sino también realizarlas de manera efectiva, por eso dicen que para realmente comprender del todo algo es necesario experimentarlo en algún punto primero, ¿no creen?
An experience is simply interpreted as a form of acquired knowledge derived from the observation, participation and experience of some event and this in turn is closely related to the ability of face-to-face verification of which all of us are consciously or unconsciously practitioners in many situations of our daily lives. Now, what is its importance? More simply, because experience in its most practical form refers to knowing things, such knowledge can be interpreted as an empirical quality, that is, on its essence lies the procedural sense we give to something and how to do it instead of, as it turns out in most cases, We should limit ourselves to a mere factual knowledge that revolves only around what that something is, since the truth of the matter is that in the experiences lies an acquisition of learning as a tool not only to understand things but also to carry them out effectively, that's why they say that to really understand something it is necessary to experience it at some point first, don't you think?
Soy participe de que el mundo en su forma física, orgánica y especialmente inmaculada nos puede conceder de experiencias significativas e inspiración trascendental, por ende a continuación me gustaría compartir cuatros fotografías de cuatro lugares diferentes en los que he estado y los cuales me han brindado de un cumulo de aprendizaje maravilloso y de experiencias emocionales bastante significativas ligadas con mi evidente fascinación por la naturaleza en su concepción más pura y sublime.
I am aware that the world in its physical, organic and especially immaculate form can provide us with significant experiences and transcendental inspiration, therefore below I would like to share four photographs from four different places I have been and which have provided me with a wonderful accumulation of learning and quite significant emotional experiences linked to my evident fascination with nature in its purest and most sublime conception.
1. Un ocaso vislumbrado desde la costa. - A sunset glimpsed from the coast.
Esta excepcional postal fue capturada en uno de mis viajes hechos a la región insular de Venezuela, más específicamente a Nueva Esparta, una entidad estadal caracterizada por ser una isla rodeada por el mar Caribe. Al hacer alusión a la idea de que son los momentos quienes nos dotan de sentido existencial, emocional y natural, un par de valores concedidos al momento de estar parado frente a tal escena fueron la plenitud armoniosa y una gratitud inmensa por el hecho de estar vivo para disfrutar de este hermoso paisaje.
This exceptional postcard was captured on one of my trips to the insular region of Venezuela, more specifically to Nueva Esparta, a state entity characterized by being an island surrounded by the Caribbean Sea. Alluding to the idea that it is the moments that give us an existential, emotional and natural sense, a couple of values granted to the moment of standing in front of such a scene were the harmonious fullness and an immense gratitude for the fact of being alive to enjoy this beautiful landscape.
2. El árbol de la vida. - The tree of life.
Este imponente espécimen, un tanto marchito y cuya clase sinceramente desconozco, lo encontré al estar en la ciudad nororiental de Bucaramanga, Colombia, pues a pesar de no estar familiarizado con su clase si pude distinguir un aprendizaje que derivaba de su forma e imagen: la vida se caracteriza por ser una experiencia y son las hojas que perdemos en el camino quienes fungen de evidencia para justificar la trayectoria que nos hemos permitido transitar.
This imposing specimen, a little withered and whose class I sincerely do not know, I found when I was in the northeastern city of Bucaramanga, Colombia, because although I was not familiar with its class I could distinguish a learning that derived from its form and image: life is characterized by being an experience and it is the leaves that we lose along the way that serve as evidence to justify the path that we have allowed ourselves to travel.
3. El agua le concede forma a las piedras. - The water gives the stones their shape.
Esta pequeña, aunque emocionalmente significativa, caída de agua la visualicé durante un breve recorrido que hice junto a mi madre y mi hermana por las adyacencias de la ciudad de Mérida ubicada en los andes venezolanos, pues asocio tal fotografía con la siguiente analogía: el agua que fluye a través de las piedras puede interpretarse como nuestras vivencias que moldean la apreciación que le concedemos al mundo y a su vez este líquido vital es quien nos otorga una forma de ser y un modo de valorar nuestra existencia.
I visualized this small, though emotionally significant, waterfall during a brief tour I made with my mother and sister in the vicinity of the city of Merida located in the Venezuelan Andes, as I associate such a photograph with the following analogy: the water that flows through the stones can be interpreted as our experiences that shape the appreciation we give to the world and in turn this vital liquid is what gives us a way of being and a way of valuing our existence.
4. El cielo contrasta con las flores. - The sky contrasts with the flowers.
Curiosamente, esta foto tiene un valor muy especial para mí ya que fue tomada por una novia que tuve hace algunos años atrás mientras visitábamos un club campestre a unos pocos kilómetros de El Tigre, la ciudad en la cual resido. El sentido que guarda tal imagen nace a partir de su propia composición, pues esta experiencia es una de las mejores remembranzas que aún conservo con alguien que amé con cada partícula de mi ser y que incluso hoy sigo estimando mucho, sencillamente la belleza de esas flores es un recuerdo permanente de la pura sublimidad que gira en función a esas personas que de una u otra forma cumplen y cumplieron un rol destacado en nuestras vidas.
Curiously, this photo has a very special value for me since it was taken by a girlfriend I had some years ago while visiting a country club a few kilometers from El Tigre, the city where I live. The meaning that such an image holds is born from its own composition, since this experience is one of the best memories that I still have with someone I loved with every particle of my being and that even today I still esteem very much. Simply, the beauty of those flowers is a permanent reminder of the pure sublimity that revolves around those people who in one way or another fulfill and played an outstanding role in our lives.
Indudablemente, el mundo y el universo mismo nos pueden llegar a ofrecer una vasta inmensidad de experiencias traducidas en momentos perdurables y situaciones cargadas de emociones implícitas cuya esencia radica en proporcionarnos de una apreciación artística que se traduce en aprendizaje, todo es cuestión de perspectiva.
Without a doubt, the world and the universe itself can offer us a vast immensity of experiences translated into lasting moments and situations loaded with implicit emotions whose essence lies in providing us with an artistic appreciation that translates into learning, it is all a matter of perspective.
