Egoísmo Racional: la incesante búsqueda del interés basado en la razón. - Rational Egoism: the incessant search for interest based on reason.

¿Qué es el egoísmo moral? ¿A qué llamamos raciocinio? ¿Cómo ambos conceptos mencionados previamente pueden relacionarse para construir el egoísmo racional en los individuos? Estas son interrogantes con un inmenso valor filosófico que hoy, de manera breve, me atribuiré la labor de explicar a través de la conceptualización, según mi perspectiva, y basándome en principios empíricos haciendo alusión al pragmatismo de la intelectualidad actitudinal.

What is moral selfishness? What do we call reasoning? How can the two concepts mentioned above be related to build rational selfishness in individuals? These are questions with an immense philosophical value that today, in a brief way, I will attribute to myself the task of explaining through conceptualization, according to my perspective, and based on empirical principles alluding to the pragmatism of the attitudinal intelligentsia.

Primeramente, opino que el egoísmo moral se caracteriza por ser una doctrina ético-filosófica que ataña el interés individual que cada persona posee para sustentar en base a su capacidad de obrar, según la norma social establecida, los potenciales beneficios y/o aspiraciones que giren en función a su propio ser, pues tal modo de actuar con relación a dicha doctrina es considerada como la única forma moral de obrar. Sin embargo, el egoísmo moral también puede verse como una construcción colectiva de beneficios, aunque tal concepción deriva del mismísimo interés singular de quien obra para beneficiarse a sí mismo y luego a los demás, por ende los conceptos de lógica privada y auto-edificación guardan una muy íntima relación con respecto al tema en cuestión debido a que el sentido del yo y sus intereses sólo pueden ser percibidos, interpretados y determinados por el yo mismo antes que cualquier otro agente externo.

Firstly, I believe that moral selfishness is characterized by being an ethical-philosophical doctrine that affects the individual interest that each person has in order to sustain, based on his capacity to act, according to the established social norm, the potential benefits and/or aspirations that revolve around his own being, since such a way of acting in relation to that doctrine is considered the only moral way of acting. However, moral selfishness can also be seen as a collective construction of benefits, although such a conception derives from the very singular interest of the person who works to benefit himself and then others. Therefore, the concepts of private logic and self-building are very closely related to the subject in question because the sense of self and its interests can only be perceived, interpreted and determined by the self before any other external agent.

Con respecto al raciocinio, este concepto hace referencia a la cualidad o capacidad cognitiva basada en el uso de la razón y sus efectos derivados para la producción de conocimiento y la construcción de un juicio propio por parte del individuo en cuestión, pues puede decirse que el raciocinio es una facultad mental resultante del desarrollo de pensamientos o el análisis de un hecho o de situaciones concretas para su posterior interpretación debido a que, de cierto modo, esta capacidad se vincula ampliamente con la inteligencia por medio de la utilización de cualidades más específicas como la inducción y la deducción.

With respect to reasoning, this concept refers to the quality or cognitive capacity based on the use of reason and its derived effects for the production of knowledge and the construction of one's own judgment by the individual in question, since it can be said that reasoning is a mental faculty resulting from the development of thoughts or the analysis of a specific fact or situation for its subsequent interpretation because, in a certain way, this capacity is broadly linked to intelligence through the use of more specific qualities such as induction and deduction.

Ahora, al hablar de egoísmo racional este tiene que ver con la tesis de la razón o la facultad de pensar e inferir basada en la búsqueda del interés propio para la obtención de beneficios donde el yo sea su epicentro, aunque este concepto, a diferencia del propio egoísmo ético o del egoísmo psicológico, denota por ser una búsqueda dónde la conciencia reflexiva se le es atribuida a su nivel de implementación, más no por la moralidad ni mucho menos la motivación adquirida.

Now, when speaking of rational selfishness this has to do with the thesis of reason or the faculty of thinking and inferring based on the search of self-interest for the obtaining of benefits where the self is its epicenter, although this concept, unlike ethical selfishness or psychological selfishness, denotes for being a search where the reflexive conscience is attributed to its level of implementation, but not by morality nor much less the acquired motivation.

Dicen que la edificación de nosotros mismos es el resultado y el objetivo del ejercicio responsable de la soberanía individual cuando a través de ésta se logra una especie de autodeterminación automatizada, pues yo digo de manera responsable que tener una actitud egoísta eventualmente funge ser la base de la ética objetivista debido a que en cada ser reside la conducta virtuosa de satisfacer nuestros proyectos racionales a lo largo de la existencia con el fin de otorgarnos cierto poder sobre la materialización de las aspiraciones y los objetivos propiamente dichos sin la necesidad de violentar los derechos racionales de las demás personas ni mucho menos aceptar que sean violentados los nuestros, aunque es fundamental saber distinguir lo que son nuestros verdaderos objetivos en comparación con los caprichos que buscamos saciar ya que esa actitud de entregarnos irracionalmente a los deseos sin fundamento trascendental puede inducirnos a ser practicantes egoístas carentes de ego y posteriormente nada más que unos simples adoradores del capricho, por ello recomiendo mucha prudencia y consciencia al momento de adoptar tales conductas.

They say that the building of ourselves is the result and objective of the responsible exercise of individual sovereignty when through it a kind of automated self-determination is achieved, for I responsibly say that having a selfish attitude eventually serves as the basis of objectivist ethics because in every being resides the virtuous conduct of satisfying our rational projects throughout existence in order to give us some power over the materialization of aspirations and objectives themselves without the need to violate the rational rights of others, much less accept that ours be violated, Although it is fundamental to know how to distinguish what our true objectives are in comparison with the whims we seek to satiate, since this attitude of irrationally surrendering to desires without transcendental foundation can induce us to be selfish practitioners without ego and later nothing more than simple whimsy worshippers, for this reason I recommend much prudence and conscience at the time of adopting such behaviors.

Uno de los aspectos negativos que debo destacar en función al egoísmo racional radica, según mi punto de vista, en que las personas quienes apoyan esta doctrina tienden a pensar que la verdad resulta ser muy obvia y por lo tanto no son requeridos argumentos ajenos para comprobar su naturaleza fidedigna, es decir, debido a su carácter tan personal y unipartidista existe un condicionamiento a la limitación por sólo tomar en cuenta opiniones y pensamientos individualistas sin abordar a la realidad como una construcción de interpretaciones colectivas.

One of the negative aspects that I must highlight in terms of rational selfishness lies, according to my point of view, in the fact that the people who support this doctrine tend to think that the truth turns out to be very obvious and therefore no arguments from others are required to prove its reliable nature, that is to say, due to its very personal and one-party character there is a conditioning to limitation by only taking into account individualistic opinions and thoughts without addressing reality as a construction of collective interpretations.

Para finalizar, debo decir que cada hombre en su mera forma funge ser un fin, no el medio para lograr los fines de los demás, por ello este debe existir por sí mismo y para sí mismo sin sacrificarse por los demás ni sacrificando al prójimo, aunque tomando en cuenta el balance universal que le otorga razón a su propia vida, pues la búsqueda de su interés y su felicidad resultará ser el más alto propósito moral de su existencia sobre esta tierra.

To conclude, I must say that each man in his own way functions as an end, not as a means to achieve the ends of others; therefore he must exist for himself and for himself without sacrificing himself for others or sacrificing his neighbor, but taking into account the universal balance that gives reason to his own life, for the pursuit of his interest and happiness will prove to be the highest moral purpose of his existence on this earth.
