¿Qué entendemos por arte? En mi caso particular, considero que el arte consiste en ser cualquier actividad, disciplina o producto concebido por el ser humano, y eventualmente por el propio universo físico que nos rodea, a partir de un propósito estético y esencialmente comunicativo cuya expresividad funge como el principio fundamental que da lugar a la creación y transmisión de ideas, emociones e incluso visiones del mundo en general a través del uso de técnicas, reglas y criterios conceptuales. El arte en su forma más pura busca representar el vasto repertorio de inquietudes universales y humanas a través de la realidad o de la mismísima imaginación por medio del uso de símbolos, representaciones y alegorías capaces de estimular la creatividad y nuestra capacidad de interpretación, por ende, al tratarse de tan trascendental tópico, el día de hoy me gustaría hacer referencia en virtud de mis apreciaciones artísticas vistas desde una perspectiva orgánica y especialmente práctica capaz de añadirle cierto contexto a mis formas de comprensión generalizada sobre la vida misma.
What do we mean by art? In my particular case, I consider art to be any activity, discipline or product conceived by the human being, and eventually by the physical universe around us, from an aesthetic and essentially communicative purpose whose expressiveness serves as the fundamental principle that gives rise to the creation and transmission of ideas, emotions and even visions of the world in general through the use of techniques, rules and conceptual criteria. Art in its purest form seeks to represent the vast repertoire of universal and human concerns through reality or the very imagination through the use of symbols, representations and allegories capable of stimulating creativity and our capacity for interpretation. Therefore, since this is such a transcendental topic, today I would like to refer to it by virtue of my artistic appreciations seen from an organic and especially practical perspective capable of adding a certain context to my forms of generalized understanding of life itself.
Son diversos los recursos, más allá de los plásticos, en los que puede proyectarse el arte; desde los lingüísticos hasta los sonoros, es por ello que se considera que la poesía y la música resultan ser manifestaciones inequívocas de arte en su más sublime expresión, pues se entiende que el ámbito artístico también va de la mano con la cultura universal, es por ello que toda forma de expresividad con un amplio sentido simbólico contenido en su propia esencia capaz de transmitir ciertos valores e ideas inherentes al carácter social y con el potencial de trascender a lo largo del espacio y del tiempo puede interpretarse como arte propiamente dicho.
There are various resources, beyond plastics, in which art can be projected; from the linguistic to the sound, that is why poetry and music are considered to be unmistakable manifestations of art in its most sublime expression, since it is understood that the artistic field also goes hand in hand with universal culture, which is why any form of expression with a broad symbolic sense contained in its own essence, capable of transmitting certain values and ideas inherent to the social character and with the potential to transcend throughout space and time, can be interpreted as art itself.
Considero que su origen de aplicación se relaciona significativamente con la aparición del Homo Sapiens concatenado al fin religioso, mágico y espiritual que éste pudo concederle al principio, actualmente conocido como arte paleolítico, pues fue con la evolución del ser humano que sus reglas y paradigmas fueron modificándose y ampliándose hasta la contemporaneidad para dar como resultado su función social y estructuración basada en el esteticismo y la pedagogía.
I consider that its origin of application is significantly related to the appearance of the Homo Sapiens concatenated to the religious, magical and spiritual end that it could grant to him at the beginning, at the moment known as paleolithic art, because it was with the evolution of the human being that its rules and paradigms were modified and extended until the contemporaneity to give like result its social function and structuring based on the aesthetics and the pedagogy.
Pero, es imprescindible hacer mención en que, incluso hoy, la definición de arte se torna variable según la cultura o el contexto en el cual éste se desarrolle, así como la época, el movimiento o hasta la sociedad misma para la cual dicho término se emplee, bajo tal premisa derivan un conjunto de normas esenciales para fomentar de manera eficaz cierta actividad, es gracias a ello que existe un sinfín de formas de arte aplicables en cada aspecto de la vida, ejemplos clásicos pueden remontarse a las famosas artes marciales, al deleitoso arte culinario y hasta inclusive al propio arte de la guerra.
But, it is essential to mention that even today, the definition of art becomes variable depending on the culture or the context in which it develops, as well as the time, the movement or even the society itself for which the term is used, under such a premise derives a set of rules essential to effectively promote a certain activity, it is thanks to this that there is a multitude of art forms applicable in every aspect of life, classic examples can be traced to the famous martial arts, the delightful culinary art and even the art of war itself.
En dicho sentido, podemos decir que el arte en su forma general, además de ser sinónimo de cultura, también puede serlo de capacidad, experiencia, talento y habilidad. Sin embargo, dicha manifestación de expresividad tiende a considerarse de manera habitual como la principal actividad creadora del ser humano en la cual se puede llegar a producir una extensa variedad de objetos, comúnmente denotados como obras de arte, de carácter singular y cuya finalidad, como dije anteriormente, se encuentra dirigida hacia la esteticidad.
In this sense, we can say that art in its general form, besides being synonymous with culture, can also be synonymous with capacity, experience, talent and ability. However, this manifestation of expressiveness tends to be considered in a habitual way as the main creative activity of the human being in which it is possible to produce a wide variety of objects, commonly denoted as works of art, of a singular character and whose purpose, as I said before, is directed towards aesthetics.
En definitiva, para mí, el arte consiste en ser un medio de expresión humano y universal que ataña un carácter creativo sobre la realización de actividades y productos que sugieran o enfaticen una idea, pues la noción que gira en torno a su propia naturaleza es capaz de jerarquizar el valor subjetivo de las disciplinas que lo componen de acuerdo a su principio fundamental de pureza, esto no es más que la libertad total y superlativa que concatena al principio de utilidad que también suele regirlo para así subrayar y fomentar su esencia autónoma e independiente, aunque de igual forma las tendencias y expresiones artísticas pueden compartir un vínculo con las ideas y conceptos que resultan relativos al área filosófica ya que toda obra se encuentra sujeta a la interpretación personal y tal pensamiento puede edificarse a partir de los elementos estéticos dominantes, tales como la belleza, la armonía o el equilibrio implícito o contenido sobre su realización.
In short, for me, art consists of being a human and universal means of expression that has a creative character on the realization of activities and products that suggest or emphasize an idea, since the notion that revolves around its own nature is capable of hierarchizing the subjective value of the disciplines that compose it according to its fundamental principle of purity, this is nothing more than the total and superlative freedom that concatenates the principle of utility that also tends to govern it in order to emphasize and promote its autonomous and independent essence, although in the same way the artistic tendencies and expressions can share a link with the ideas and concepts that result relative to the philosophical area since all work is subject to the personal interpretation and such thought can be built from the dominant aesthetic elements, such as the beauty, the harmony or the implicit balance or content on its realization.
Debido a que el arte se encuentra sujeto a armonizar con nuestro entorno y abarcar cualquier forma de expresión capaz de estimular nuestro entendimiento a través de la creatividad, es oportuno clasificar según su manifestación en el espacio y la perdurabilidad que éste puede contener y posteriormente trascender a través del tiempo, ¿no es así? Primero encontramos a las artes espaciales, pues estas hacen referencia a la materialidad concreta que ejercen sus obras, como la escultura, el grabado, la arquitectura, la fotografía, el dibujo, la pintura y cualquier otra forma tangible de expresión creativa, luego están las artes temporales que, en efecto, son aquellas manifestaciones artísticas de carácter inmaterial que logran su sustancial trascendencia a través del tiempo traducido en épocas, pues la música y la literatura resultan ser los dos ejemplos más destacables, y por ultimo tenemos a las artes espaciotemporales que se caracterizan por ser aquellas manifestaciones fenoménicas capaces de combinar la temporalidad con la espacialidad a través de la performance, dentro de dicha categoría podemos encontrar al cine, la danza, el teatro y otros tipos de artes audiovisuales.
Because art is subject to harmonize with our environment and encompass any form of expression capable of stimulating our understanding through creativity, it is appropriate to classify it according to its manifestation in space and the durability that it can contain and subsequently transcend through time, is not it? First we find the spatial arts, since these refer to the concrete materiality that their works exert, such as sculpture, engraving, architecture, photography, drawing, painting and any other tangible form of creative expression. Then there are the temporal arts, which, in effect, are those artistic manifestations of an immaterial nature that achieve their substantial transcendence through time translated into epochs, Music and literature are the two most outstanding examples, and finally we have the spatial-temporal arts, which are characterized by being those phenomenal manifestations capable of combining temporality with spatiality through performance. Within this category we can find cinema, dance, theatre and other types of audiovisual arts.
Por último, opino que el arte, como elemento manifestativo de la actividad humana, es susceptible a ser disfrutado y analizado desde una perspectiva psicosocial a través de los diferentes procesos culturales y particularmente mentales que residen en la génesis de su propia concepción, tanto en su creación como en la recepción que se les conferida por parte del público como un fenómeno evidente intrínseco en la conducta humana, pues tal forma de expresión puede entenderse a partir de su oportuno estudio como el principal catalizador de la conciencia y la percepción estética tomando en cuenta el factor distintivo que define a nuestra especie como seres creadores inmersos en la creación de una fuerza aún mayor, citando las palabras del famoso poeta alemán Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: “Todo hombre de vez en cuando debería oír un poco de música, leer una buena poesía, contemplar un cuadro hermoso y, de ser posible, decir algunas palabras sensatas, a fin de que los cuidados mundanos no puedan borrar el sentido de la belleza que Dios ha implantado en el alma humana y en el universo físico que la rodea”.
Finally, I believe that art, as an element that manifests human activity, is susceptible to being enjoyed and analyzed from a psychosocial perspective through the different cultural and particularly mental processes that reside in the genesis of its own conception, both in its creation and in the reception it is given by the public as an evident phenomenon intrinsic to human behavior, for such a form of expression can be understood from its timely study as the main catalyst of consciousness and aesthetic perception taking into account the distinctive factor that defines our species as creative beings immersed in the creation of an even greater force, to quote the words of the famous German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, "Every man should from time to time hear a little music, read a good poem, contemplate a beautiful picture and, if possible, say a few sensible words, so that worldly cares cannot erase the sense of beauty that God has implanted in the human soul and in the physical universe around it".
