[ENG][ESP] My first time walking in the cocorotean mountains // Mi primera vez caminando en las montañas cocoroteñas

     In June 2018, a normal Saturday, I was visiting my grandmother's house, having dinner with my aunt, my cousin and his girlfriend. We were talking and the idea of going out the next day, Sunday morning, to walk towards the hill of the cocorotean mountains came up.

     En junio del 2018, un sábado normal, me encontraba de visita en casa de mi abuela, cenando con mi tía, mi primo y su novia estábamos hablando y surge la idea de salir al día siguiente, el domingo en la mañana, a caminar hacia el cerro de las montañas cocoroteñas, recuerdo que al principio no estaba muy convencida ya que no cargaba la ropa ni los zapatos adecuados para hacer ejercicio.

     The next morning we woke up early, had breakfast and got ready, later my cousin and his girlfriend arrived

     La mañana siguiente nos despertamos tempranos, desayunamos y nos arreglamos, más tarde llegaron mi primo y su novia

     We left the house and there began my first adventure in the mountains, we arrived at a dirt road totally unknown to me, but with an impressive beauty that nature gave me.

     Salimos de la casa y ahí comenzó mi primera aventura en las montañas, llegamos a un camino de tierra totalmente desconocido para mí, pero con una belleza impresionante que me brindaba esa naturaleza.

     I remember that out of nowhere we came up with the idea of cutting our way through an even more unknown place, and without thinking much about it, we buzzed around. Ohh how tiring it was, it was very narrow that way and we had to be very careful in every step we took.

     Recuerdo que de la nada se nos ocurrió la idea de recortar camino por un sitio más desconocido todavía, y sin pensarlo mucho, nos zumbamos por ahí. Ohh que cansón fue, era muy estrecho ese camino y había que tener mucha precaución en cada paso que dábamos

     We fell back into the normal path, going up and up, step by step, turning around from time to time to appreciate that increasingly beautiful view as the height would allow us, in one of those my body begins to react, I felt a little dizzy and with a strong pain in my stomach, the tiredness was taking effect, so I decided to stop for a few minutes to take a deep breath, I drank some water, and I was ready to continue. My cousin was carrying his dog, I thought I'd ask him to carry it and walk it and thus distract me from that bad time.

     Volvimos a caer en el camino normal, subiendo y subiendo, paso a paso, volteando de vez en cuando para apreciar esa vista cada vez más hermosa a medida que la altura nos los permitiría, en una de esas mi cuerpo comienza a reaccionar, me sentía un poco mareada y con un fuerte dolor en el estómago, el cansancio estaba haciendo efecto, por eso decidí detenerme unos minutos para respirar profundo, tomé un poco de agua, y estaba lista para continuar. Mi primo llevaba a su perro, se me ocurrió pedírselo cargarlo y pasearlo y así distraerme de ese mal rato.

     We continued on our walk, kept climbing and clearly from time to time asked how much longer it was to go. We were talking, but the road was still long, until we finally arrived at Taracoa, where there was a small waterfall, we sat down to appreciate how the water came down, it was beautiful, we took advantage of it and bathed for a while, we enjoyed that rich water that refreshed us and made us ready for the way back home.

     Continuamos en nuestro paseo, seguíamos subiendo y claramente de vez en cuando preguntaba cuánto faltaba para llegar. Íbamos conversando, pero igual el camino se hacía extenso, hasta que al fin llegamos a Taracoa, dónde se encontraba una pequeña cascada, nos sentamos a apreciar como bajaba el agua, era hermoso, aprovechamos y nos bañamos un rato, disfrutamos esa rica agua que nos refrescó y nos repuso para el camino de regreso a casa.

     On the way I couldn't help but appreciate the beautiful nature, the greenness of the plants and the tranquility I felt in that place. I had my doubts at first, I knew it would not be easy, and that the road was long, but this is certainly an adventure I will never forget.

     En el camino no dejaba de apreciar la bella naturaleza, el verdor de las plantas y la tranquilidad que sentía en ese lugar. Tenía mis dudas al principio, sabía que no sería fácil, y que el camino era largo, pero esta es sin duda una aventura que no olvidaré jamás.
