Maria Guadalupe Lopez Esquivel
María Guadalupe López Esquivel was regarded as a leading figure in the cartel and was responsible for leading a team of hitmen that killed more than a dozen state cops in October 2020 and was responsible for paying cartel members and organizing
kidnappings and assassinations. She joined the criminal organization in 2017 and, since then, rose in rank while flaunting her glamorous lifestyle on social media. The Jalisco New Generation Cartel is considered one of the most dangerous and largest Mexican cartels and is currently led by Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, also known as "El Mencho."
La Catrina Esquivel was killed in a shootout with authorities after they raided her safe house, where she was staying with members of her cartel. She was shot in the neck and died an hour after her arrest. During the shootout, security forces seized a log of records that made out López Esquivel to be the individual responsible for taking care of a gathering of ‘halcones’ or spies who at that point sifted data to the cartel.
Claudia Ochoa Felix
Felix, also known as “The Empress of Antrax” and “Mexico’s Kim Kardashian” among her admirers, is believed to be the leader of Los Antrax hit squad. The brutal gang is run by the Sinaloa cartel and is infamous for its merciless murders and vengeful attacks, among other heinous crimes. The mother of three is rumoured to have been married to a Sinaloa drug dealer, who goes by the name of ‘El Chavo’.
According to Mexican media, she took control of Los Antrax after the arrest of a chief , Jose Rodrigo Arechiga Gamboa, also known as El Chino. Contrary to other gang leaders who preferred to steer clear of public attention, Felix has garnered an impressive amount of attention, thanks to her grand lifestyle, showcased through her social media posts. She takes selfies portraying herself as a curvy Mexican beauty exhibiting designer outfits, luxury items, and more.
However, since the Mexican media has spotlighted her, she has shut down her Twitter account and set her Instagram posts as private. Reports claim that she has no ties with any criminal organization, which she has denied on Twitter, calling out the press for their cowardly lies and slander.
Angie Sanclemente Valencia,
a former Colombian beauty queen known as "narcomodelo," was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison in Argentina for her involvement in a drug smuggling operation that transported cocaine from South America to Europe. Sanclemente had aspirations of a glamorous modeling career, but her life took a different turn when she became involved in the illicit drug trade. Her partner, Nicolas Gualco, and his uncle, Daniel Monroy, were also sentenced to the same time behind bars.
During her trial, Sanclemente claimed that her conviction was due to her nationality. In December 2009, María Noel López Iglesias was detained at an Argentine airport with 55kg of cocaine in her possession, which led to the uncovering of a string of other drug-related offenses and eventually led to the arrest of Sanclemente. The police alleged that Sanclemente had been involved in bringing young women into the narcotics trade to smuggle drugs into Europe.
After her arrest in May 2010, Sanclemente's past as a model and beauty queen sparked extensive news coverage and debate over whether she had willing participated in the drug trade or was a victim of circumstance. Despite repeatedly denying her involvement in recruiting drug mules, Sanclemente was found guilty and convicted.
