Kimberly Rueda (Caracas, June 11, 1995) is a Venezuelan self-taught artist, painter and workshop artist. My works range from traditional painting to magical realism through the pictorial treatment of neo expressionist and even neo fauvist features, seeking to express the maternal bond of affection, which I consider implicit in the syncretic culture of the oral and popular Creole traditions.
I tell you a little about my plastic work
Seeking to resinify the symbology that I take back from the stories and experiences of the mestizo culture as a family legacy, inheritance acquired from my grandmother, mother and aunts, as the main source of inherited knowledge linked to the affective world and spirituality of everyday syncretistic practices, trying to generate a testimony as a manifesto of the immaterial value of Venezuelan culture, making visible the aesthetics and simple contemporary beauties of a home.
