My first design in the Calang City

in GEMS4 years ago (edited)
Hi, how are you today? Wish you good health always. Today I would like to share a bit of excitement due to the completion of the work entrusted to me, namely the interior design of the An-nur Mosque in the village of Dayah Baro Calang City.
This is the beach in Aceh, precisely in Calang. I am sure you will miss this place if you have ever been to Aceh. image source @kharrazi by smartphone

An-nur Mosque began to be built after the tsunami struck Aceh and the worst affected areas were Aceh Jaya especially Calang. It was reported that the Calang City Aceh Jaya had been destroyed at that time, there were no buildings and access to the city of Calang due to the devastating tsunami in 2004. Before the Tsunami, Calang was a city with many ethnic populations compared to other areas along the West-South coast of Aceh, inversely proportional to the current condition of the city of Calang which turned into a deserted city due to the large number of residents who were victims of the tsunami disaster. But Calang has changed infrastructure and now has a lot of new buildings and other infrastructure, you can find out how Calang's current condition is, (www.aa.com.tr)

The An-nur Mosque was built by the Aceh Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency with a length of 11 meters and a width of 15 meters, a few years later the mosque construction committee increased the width and length of the mosque to be able to accommodate worshipers who are increasing every year.

The phase that I am currently working on is the architectural stage, which is to give a touch of art to the mosque's interior, due to the limited funds that only a few sides can do and will be continued in the next stage.

I was given the opportunity to design the interior of the An-nur mosque because at this time I was already a resident of Calang and there was a bit of pride born in me because the villagers accepted and admired the results of this work even though it had not been completed one hundred percent.

Previously I lived in the city of Lhokseumawe then moved to Calang in 2019, I will tell you about my journey to move to Calang City on another occasion.

Thank you for your time stopping on my blog.

_Regards @kharrazi_
