Voy en transporte a un pueblo que queda a una hora y veinte minutos de mi ciudad de San Cristóbal. Esta será mi nueva normalidad de cada día, porque a partir de hoy comienzo una nueva etapa. Pero realmente de esto no se trata mi publicación. Cómo el título lo dice, hoy quiero contarles sobre ¡Un Ingeniero más!. Asi que ¡aquí vamos!

Hello Hivers of the World! Welcome one more day to my blog. Happy start of the week to all. Today is an unusual day because I'm writing to you on wheels haha ​​but don't think I'm on roller skates 🤣. I go by transport to a town that is an hour and twenty minutes from my city of San Cristóbal. This will be my new normal every day, because starting today I begin a new stage. But this is not really what my post is about. As the title says, today I want to tell you about One more Engineer!. So here we go!

Las personas que me conocen o que han revisado mi perfil saben que estudie ingeniería industrial, pero si ustedes no sabían jaja pues hoy se están enterando. Tuve la oportunidad de asistir a una de las mejores universidades de mi ciudad e incluso del país, la Universidad Nacional Experimental del Táchira conocida popularmente por sus siglas como la UNET, mi alma mater y el templo que contemplo mi aventura universitaria. Y lo llamo aventura en primer lugar por lo emocionante de la historia y en segundo lugar porque todo el que estudió en una universidad pública en Venezuela conocen lo difícil que es culminar una carrera debido a todos los problemas a raíz de la situación país.

People who know me or who have reviewed my profile know that I study industrial engineering, but if you didn't know haha, well today you are finding out. I had the opportunity to attend one of the best universities in my city and even in the country, the National Experimental University of Táchira, popularly known by its acronym as UNET, my alma mater and the temple that contemplated my university adventure. And I call it adventure in the first place because of the excitement of the story and secondly because everyone who studied at a public university in Venezuela knows how difficult it is to complete a degree due to all the problems caused by the country's situation.

Así que todo el que logró graduarse entre el año 2011 que fue cuando inicie hasta la actualidad, es un guerrero, una persona con temple, constancia, entre otros valores relacionados, que no dejo morir sus sueños en la universidad a pesar de los años de tiempo invertidos en su educación. Pero como les comentaba en mi video sobre Mi Experiencia en la Universidad, la educación bien sea en una modalidad formal o informal es un recurso invaluable, y nadie puede robarte tus conocimientos, te pertenecen hasta que esté listo para dejar este mundo. Asi que yo ánimo a todos aquellos que me leen, a qué no dejen de aprender y educarse, el conocimiento abre puertas.

So everyone who managed to graduate between the year 2011, which was when he started up to the present, is a warrior, a person with courage, perseverance, among other related values, who did not let his dreams die at the university despite the years of time invested in their education. But as I told you in my video about My University Experience, education, whether in a formal or informal modality, is an invaluable resource, and no one can steal your knowledge, it belongs to you until you are ready to leave this world. So I encourage all those who read me, not to stop learning and educating yourself, knowledge opens doors.

Luego de mi discurso motivacional, que para nadie es un secreto que me encanta expresamente. Ahora sí hablemos de los principales razones de mi publicación. Y es sobre la celebración de graduación de mi amigo y colega Jorrique, quien obtuvo recientemente su Título de Ingeniero Electrónico. Y casualmente este día de su grado también se llevó a cabo un concierto en Honor al Santo Cristo de la Grita a cargo de la Hermandad Coral (una agrupación musical) conformada por varios coros de San Cristóbal. Y Jorrique, su novia y otros amigos del mundo coral, cantaban en este concierto, que se realizo en la Catedral de la ciudad.

And coincidentally, on this day of his graduation, a concert was also held in honor of Santo Cristo de la Grita by the Coral Brotherhood (a musical group) made up of several choirs from San Cristóbal. And Jorrique, his girlfriend and other friends from the choral world, sang at this concert, which took place in the city's Cathedral.

Así que los planes para ese día 28 de Julio, era asistir al concierto y luego ir a calentar la graduación. Mi hermano que está haciendo sus prácticas profesionales en la empresa Paisa,del trabajo iba a la Catedral y yo tenía que encontrarme con él allí. El concierto era a las 4:30 P.M, pero yo fui un poco tarde. Llegué a eso de las 5:15 P.M, porque tenía otras ocupaciones. Pero antes de ir al concierto, tenía que comprar un refresco para compartir en la fiesta. El concierto estaba muy bueno, disfrute de las canciones escritas especialmente para la misa del Santo Cristo. Les cuento, la música no sabe de religiones, es por eso que si eres parte de un coro, puedes cantar cualquier canción de cualquier género y de cualquier religión. Así que desde el más religioso hasta el mas ateo se unen hacer hacer música.

My brother, who is doing his internship at the Paisa company, went to the Cathedral from work and I had to meet him there. The concert was at 4:30 PM, but I was a little late. I got there around 5:15 PM, because I had other things to do. But before going to the concert, he had to buy a drink to share at the party. The concert was very good, I enjoyed the songs written especially for the Santo Cristo mass. I tell you, music knows no religion, that's why if you're part of a choir, you can sing any song of any genre and any religion. So from the most religious to the most atheist come together to make music.

Nada de la celebración estaba planificado porque era jueves y tanto Jorrique como mi hermano trabajaban al día siguiente, así que no podíamos tener excesos y teníamos que llegar temprano a casa. Luego del concierto nos fuimos con mi amigo, su novia y Carla otra amiga del coro de UNET, donde juntos cantamos alguna vez. En primer lugar, fuimos a casa de Jorrique, porque el necesitaba cambiarse de ropa y dejar algunas cosas allí.

None of the celebration was planned because it was Thursday and both Jorrique and my brother worked the next day, so we couldn't have excesses and we had to get home early. After the concert we went with my friend, his girlfriend and Carla, another friend from the UNET choir, where we sometimes sang together. First of all, we went to Jorrique's house, because he needed to change his clothes and leave some things there.

Retomando el hilo de mi larga historia jaja, luego de que nuestro amigo estaba listo y vestido con su pinta de celebración, organizamos la fiesta, la verdad es que era una reunión pequeña, por el tema del COVID y porque el quería compartir con sus amigos cercanos. Jorrique y su novia propusieron la idea de comprar pizza para cenar y acompañarla con unas cervezas, pero nuestra amiga Carla dijo que tenía una botella de ron y que la podía compartir con nosotros y al final nos decidimos fue por esta última opción.

Fuimos a Basílico Pizzas y ordenamos unas deliciosas, nos organizamos en parejas para decidir sobre los ingredientes y nuestro tipo de pizza. Yo me uni con la novia de Jorrique, llamada Olga y pedimos pizza Granjera y otra llamada Cuatro estaciones, que la verdad no recuerdo que ingredientes traía está, lo que si puedo asegurar es que estaban buenísimas. Las pedimos para llevar y nos fuimos a casa de nuestra amiga Carla. Allí tenía su ron y por supuesto mi hermano y yo llevamos la Cola Cola, que no puede faltar si hay ron en una celebración en Venezuela jaja.

We ordered them to go and we went to our friend Carla's house. There she had her rum and of course my brother and I took the Cola Cola, which cannot be missing if there is rum at a celebration in Venezuela haha.

Por supuesto, en nuestra celebración de graduación no podía faltar la torta (pastel, cake) y obviamente lo hizo Olga (la novia de Jorrique), quien estudio en Argentina pastelería, la cual cuenta con su emprendimiento de repostería y hace unos postres exquisitos. La torta era de chocolate y nueces con butter cream de vainilla.

Luego de la torta continuamos conversando, sobre algunos recuerdos de nuestra vida universitaria, anécdotas y también sobre historias divertidas, mientras tomábamos un Cuba libre. La verdad fue una tertulia entretenida, la pasé muy bien y compartí un grato agradable entre amigos.
