Quisiera presentarme en tres momentos: Nacer, Crecer, Hoy

I would like to introduce myself in three moments: Be born, Grow up, Today

• NACER

Hola a todos, mi nombre es Kelvin Arévalo, nací en Venezuela en septiembre del año 1992 junto con mi hermano morocho, resulta que mis padres Yarixa y Juan tenían mucho tiempo intentando tener hijos, pero no resultaba, ellos intentaron de TODO, desde las recomendaciones y tratamientos médicos, hasta técnicas populares que les ofrecía mi abuela materna, hasta que con el tiempo se cumplió el deseo de mis padres, y no solo de uno sino de dos hermosos bebes. Mi hermano y yo.

• BE BORN

Hello everyone, my name is Kelvin Arévalo, I was born in Venezuela in September 1992 with my twin brother, it turns out that my parents Yarixa and Juan had been trying to have children for a long time, but it did not work, they tried EVERYTHING, from the recommendations and medical treatments, even popular techniques offered by my maternal grandmother, until over time my parents' wishes were fulfilled, and not just one but two beautiful babies. A partir de los 10 años sabía que había algo diferente en mí al resto de mi familia, y resulta que en ese momento NO me identificaba como heterosexual, me sentía diferente y esa diferencia me dio la oportunidad de crear un gran sentido de independencia, esto me condujo a buscar condiciones para garantizar por mis propios medios la vida que deseaba alcanzar, atravesando algunos caminos difíciles pero siempre con la mejor actitud.

Cuando tuve edad suficiente me mude yo solo a Caracas, la capital de Venezuela, con la simple intención de aprender y conocer más y más. Realice estudios de Educación y Sociología de forma incompleta en la Universidad Central de Venezuela, y luego en la misma universidad comencé mis estudios en Antropología. Que es de hecho mi profesión actual.

De igual forma curse durante algún tiempo en la Universidad Nacional Experimental de las Artes, la carrera de Danzas Tradicionales, a pesar de no haberme graduado alcance mi objetivo principal el cual era tener conciencia, seguridad y valor sobre mi propio cuerpo, alcanzar el más deseado amor propio.

• • GROWING UP

From the age of 10 I knew that there was something different in me than the rest of my family, and it turns out that at that time I did NOT identify as heterosexual, I felt different and that difference gave me the opportunity to create a great sense of independence, this It led me to look for conditions to guarantee by my own means the life I wanted to achieve, going through some difficult paths but always with the best attitude

When I was old enough I moved myself to Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, with the simple intention of learning and knowing more and more. I completed Education and Sociology studies incompletely at the Central University of Venezuela, and then at the same university I began my studies in Anthropology. Which is actually my current profession.

In the same way, I studied for some time at the National Experimental University of the Arts, the traditional dance career, despite not having graduated, I achieved my main objective which was to have awareness, security and value about my own body, achieve the most desired self-love.

Ahora tengo 27 años y me encargo con mucho amor y humildad de contribuir a generar conciencia crítica sobre las condiciones que incrementan la desigualdad entre las personas, por lo que me gusta generar espacios para discutir sobre la condición de género y sexualidad; el racismo y la discriminación étnica; la biopolítica y la corporalidad; la diferencia de clases socioeconómicas; la alimentación y la industria económica; la poética presente en la vida misma; así como también el valor del amor propio y social como ejercicio para la transformación.
Para lograr esto utilizare la imagen y la palabra, creando collage, fotografías o dibujos que junto a textos, ofrecen la oportunidad de reflexionar y discutir alguna situación en particular.

Actualmente trabajo en un museo de artes visuales, específicamente el Museo de Bellas Artes de Caracas. Donde soy Educador Especialista.

Me agrada más la montaña que la playa, disfruto de la cerveza fría y el agua, soy adicto a caminar pues es mi mejor manera de distraer la mente o algunas veces caso contrario de sobresaturarla sobre pensando cosas. Me gusta bailar y me considero un hippie académico con gran sentido del humor. El amor es mi mayor motivación para existir.

Now I am 27 years old and I take care with much love and humility to contribute to generate critical awareness about the conditions that increase inequality among people, so I like to create spaces to discuss the condition of gender and sexuality; racism and ethnic discrimination; biopolitics and corporality; the difference of socioeconomic classes; food and economic industry; the poetics present in life itself; as well as the value of self and social love as an exercise for transformation.

To achieve this, I use the image and the word, creating collage, photographs or drawings that together with texts, offer the opportunity to reflect and discuss a particular situation.

I currently work in a Museum of Visual Arts, specifically the Museum of Fine Arts in Caracas. Where I am a Specialist Educator.

I like the mountain more than the beach, I enjoy cold beer and water, I am addicted to walking because it is my best way of distracting the mind or sometimes the opposite of supersaturating it by thinking things. I like to dance and I consider myself an academic hippie with a great sense of humor. Love is my greatest motivation to exist.

Cuando una gran amiga (Vanessa la flaka, la mama de Uma del trueno) me dio a conocer esta maravillosa comunidad de HIVE, no dude en querer ser parte de esta energía. Queriendo compartir con ustedes mis creaciones. Pero también queriendo conocer las de ustedes.

Para crecer juntos hacia ese mundo de utopías donde todos podamos ser cada vez más libres y felices.
