How to Make Soft Mochi with Durian and Chocolate Filling

first of all you have to prepare is

-250 grams of glutinous rice flour
-70 grams of granulated sugar
-4 teaspoons of salt
-4 tablespoons of cooking oil
-sufficient cocoa powder
-1 packet of chocolate milo
-sufficient chocolate jam
-sufficient chocolate paste
-sufficient durian
-3 tablespoons of cornstarch
-1 pandan leaf

The first step, what you have to do is prepare a container, put 250 grams of glutinous rice flour, 1 pack of Milo, 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 70 grams of granulated sugar. then, stir the dry ingredients until evenly mixed.

second step, then add 250ml of water and stir until the mixture is evenly mixed

The third step, then add 5 tablespoons of cooking oil and enough chocolate paste. Then, stir again until the mixture turns brown.

Fourth step, then strain the mixture until there are no lumps in the mixture until the mixture is finished

Step five, move the dough to the preheated steamer and steam the dough for 25-30 minutes.

Step six, while waiting for the dough to be steamed, now we will make the mochi coating. Prepare a frying pan, put enough cornstarch and a pandan leaf. Then, roast until the pandan leaves dry over low heat.

Step seven, after the mochi dough has been steamed for 30 minutes, then knead the mochi dough using a spoon or you can also use a mixer until the dough is smooth.

Step eight, after the dough is smooth, now prepare a small mold and take enough mochi dough. Then, coat a little dough with previously roasted cornstarch.

Step nine, then place the dough on the mold and fill it with durian or chocolate jam. You can also fill the mochi with other fillings. Then, close the dough tightly.

Step 10, after the mochi has been filled with durian or chocolate jam. Next, coat the mochi with chocolate powder until evenly distributed or you can also coat it with roasted cornstarch.

The last step, after all the mochi has been coated with cocoa powder or cornstarch, now you can decorate the mochi with a nice plate or toppings according to your wishes.
