I have had my fair share of skepticism when it comes to Hive Engine. But after the launch of Punks on Hive I have got excited for what there could be in the future for Hive Engine.
As a second layer for the Hive mainchain, if Hive Engine grows I assume it will also push Hive further by adding extra functionalities to it.
Checking in the Hive Engine website we can see that they are going to update their website and they plan to do it in Q1 of 2022, with no more information available (as far as I can see) about what is to come.
Well, their website surely could use a redesign, the design looks dated and amateur. The technology is not that great, it is not a very flexible smart contract platform, so I am hoping for them to not only upgrade the design and usability, but also the dev tools, the flexibility of the blockchain, and the documentation to onboard new devs.
What do you think/know about the update?
There are multiple interfaces to HIVE and Hive-Engine. I imagine that Hive.blog was intended to be the prototype of a HIVE based web site. HIVE encourages groups like PeakD, Waivio, ecency and all of the tribes to create alternative interfaces.
I imagine that they will do the same with Hive-Engine.com. I suspect that they want Hive-Engine to be a basic prototype with LeoDex.io and tribaldex.com being the souped up interfaces for the exchange.
With this idea in mind, I would expect the changes to be added functionality and not so much of a GUI update.
