Hello everyone yesterday was Sunday and was supposed to be a weekend for rest but for me I was at the farm with my family.
We went to harvest our maize we cultivated some months ago. It was a combination of a whole lot of things, because the harvesting spreads from detaching corn from the plant, to gathering them all at one spot and dehusking and packaging into sacks.
We got there around 7am and started everything be removing the corn from the maize plant body itself. To do this, we twist the corn, and pull in the opposite direction to which it is hanging on the plant. This took us about 4 hours to do on a 4 acre farmland.
After removing the corn from plant, we cleared some space, and gathered all the corn onto one big spot. We spent almost 2 hours doing this. Then we prayed and had some food, rested for a while and continued work.
Finally after everything was collected at one spot, we brought the tractor to dehusk the corn do we could package them into sacks and transport home for storage. We divided the work among ourselves, the women carrying the corn with sheath to the tractor and the men collecting and packaging processed corn into sacks.
We finished everything around 6pm when it was almost evening and we left home. That was my Sunday this week😊
Hermoso proceso. Te felicito
