Had a setback with my current bag project after realising the leather I was working with was peeling.

Good morning everyone,

This morning I ought to be posting about my new design but unfortunately I couldn't. You see that whiter patch below in that picture above is the reason why. I was working on this bag yesterday and due to some other commitments I worked into night. I bought this leather yesterday and was so excited to be working with it because itsbthe first time I will see this shade in the market. When I got home, I made my pattern shown below and I started working with it.

I was really excited about the bag because its a new design I've never worked with before and it was supposed to be beautiful. If you look at the pictures below, you could tell it was coming together well.

It was when I was sewing I realised the leather was peeling. I almost cried. It was late, I've spent lot of time and energy trying to couple the bag just to realize I can't work with the leather. The most painful part of it all is, my trade fair starts on Friday through Sunday which means I have two days left to create more bags. Coupled with the fact that I work alone, that just made it more devastating. I blamed myself for not checking the leather well before working with it but then the deed has been done already. There is nothing I can do about it. I had to abandon it and start a new project this morning.

So this is my predicament guys, it's painful but then I've learnt from it to always inspect my leathers very well I market before buying it and even before working with it at home.
