photography-socializing teaching in remote villages with underprivileged children
Thursday, April 22, 2021, together with my friends @meilimeiga, visited one of the villages in the province of Aceh, Indonesia. This village is one of the remote villages which is located very far from the settlements of Acehnese residents, this village is called a scavenger village, this village is named a scavenger village because the majority of the population of this village work as scavengers. they used to collect used bottles to be sold and with the proceeds from this sale they raised themselves and their children.
economic limitations in paying for school education, many children from this village do not go to school, they choose not to go to school and work as scavengers with their fathers and mothers.
There are 50 children who cannot afford to go to school in this village, 15 boys and 35 girls, they are not in school and do not know education from an early age, of course these actions and problems make their future unsecured. They have an average age of 9-15 years, some of them are still in elementary school and some are still in middle school, but they have never experienced that school period.
The government's concern for the problems that exist in this village is very few and limited, the government is more concerned with other simple problems than having to solve economic and educational problems in this village.
I and my friends came to this village and gave social education to the children here, starting from 7 am to 6 pm, we gave them an overview of education, an overview of the importance of education, and the benefits of education, but the language we convey to children -this child is a very easy to understand and straightforward language.
then my friends and I taught these children to draw and make other written works, they were very happy with what we gave and taught, they were very happy and cheerful, we played and had fun with them.
At the end of this article, I invite all my friends on #hive to be able to donate together and support this scavenger village, they really need our care and attention.
