Me gustaría compartir con ustedes en esta oportunidad, un poco sobre el proceso que me llevó crear esta mascara abstracta ya que en parte es de estilo libre. Durante la noche estaba mirando un programa de Tv sobre ovnis, alienígenas y robots futuristas, en ese momento se me ocurrió una idea ¿por qué no hacer una máscara de este estilo? Me propuse hacer una pero con mi toque personal y utilizando materiales de provecho, a continuación, les mostrare como lo hice.
I would like to share with you in this opportunity, a little bit about the process that took me to create this abstract mask since it is partly freestyle. During the night I was watching a TV show about UFOs, aliens and futuristic robots, at that moment an idea came to me, why not make a mask in this style? I set out to make one but with my personal touch and using useful materials, next, I will show you how I did it.

Dedique parte del tiempo en hacer suficientes sorbetillos con las hojas de revistas para así comenzar con la estructura base. En mi imaginación tenía como propósito hacer una estructura con forma similar a los alienígenas verdes de la televisión.
I spent some time making enough sorbets out of the magazine sheets to start with the base structure. In my imagination I intended to make a structure similar in shape to the green aliens on TV.
En este punto que fue casi al inicio decidí darle un toque más artístico y dejar que mi imaginación fluyese de la mejor manera, fui segmentando con los sorbetillos de forma simétrica de ambos lados para tener ya un frente en el que trabajar.
At this point, which was almost at the beginning, I decided to give it a more artistic touch and let my imagination flow in the best way, I was segmenting the sorbets symmetrically on both sides to have a front to work on.
Decidí pintar la base de mi mascara con el primer color que se me ocurría al escuchar la palabra alienígena, fue claramente el verde porque este sería básicamente la estructura ósea de mi alíen reciclado. También tome algunos sorbetillos hechos con revistas un poco más cortos, los pinte de rojo, más algunas tiras de papel aluminio y los superpuse en mi base verde para ir teniendo de esta manera un poco más de contraste.
I decided to paint the base of my mask with the first color that came to my mind when I heard the word alien, it was clearly green because this would basically be the bone structure of my recycled alien. I also took some straws made with magazines a little shorter, painted them red plus some strips of aluminum foil and superimposed them on my green base to have a little more contrast.
Luego de tener lista la estructura, empecé a cerrar la máscara forrandola desde su parte interna, porque una mascara sin ocultar los rasgos de su usuario no sería una máscara. De esta manera la máscara comienza a tomar una mejor forma cada vez más, por eso hay que dejar volar nuestra imaginación, añadiéndole muchos más detalles para que quede mejor. Después de añadirle algunos otros detalles como antenas y paneles de colores que se me relacionan con alienígenas y robots finalmente así quedó este pequeño proyecto, listo para usarse.
After having the structure ready, I started to close the mask by lining it from the inside, because a mask without hiding the features of its user would not be a mask. In this way the mask begins to take a better and better shape, so we have to let our imagination fly, adding many more details to make it look better. After adding some other details like antennas and colored panels that I relate to aliens and robots finally this is how this little project was, ready to use.
