I am Alejandro and in this opportunity I want to share with you one of the projects that I carry out daily in my workplace

First of all, I must say that my daily work consists of aesthetic repairs of cars that have suffered a blow or accident. And this work is done by hand because it depends a lot on the person's ability to use the different materials
Antes que nada, debo decir que mi trabajo diario consiste en reparaciones estéticas de autos que han sufrido algún golpe o accidente. Y este trabajo se hace a mano porque depende mucho de la habilidad de la persona para utilizar los diferentes materiales
Next I will show you a project that I recently carried out, it is a repair of blows in two pieces of a car, in this case the damages that the pieces have are not very visible in the photos. But as we proceed we will see more clearly the repair work
A continuación les mostraré un proyecto que realicé recientemente, se trata de una reparación de golpes en dos piezas de un auto, en este caso los daños que tienen las piezas no son muy visibles en las fotos. Pero a medida que avancemos veremos más claramente el trabajo de reparación
To begin with, the first thing I did was remove the paint from the affected areas. why? because for this I am going to use a tool that is a spot welding which allows me to remove the metal protrusions
Para empezar, lo primero que hice fue quitar la pintura de las zonas afectadas. ¿por qué? porque para esto voy a usar una herramienta que es una soldadura por puntos la cual me permite quitar las protuberancias de metal
After having corrected the surface of the piece and having removed the sunken ones, what I do next is to use a product called putty
Después de haber corregido la superficie de la pieza y haber quitado los hundidos, lo que hago a continuación es utilizar un producto llamado masilla
Putty is a two-component product that dries and hardens by chemical reaction when mixed. I usually apply it to the surface I am repairing to seal it from moisture
La masilla es un producto de dos componentes que se seca y endurece por reacción química cuando se mezcla. Normalmente lo aplico sobre la superficie que estoy reparando para sellarla de la humedad
and once dry. I can use sandpaper to give the surface the shape I want

At this point we can see more clearly the size of the affectation that this car had

Next, what I did was to cover with paper the parts that were not affected. I did this because it was time to apply a product called primer

This product is liquid and has a high degree of viscosity. what i do to apply it is dilute it and use an air compressor to spray it

This product has a dry time of about 2 hours, and the reason I apply it is because it seals the putty from moisture and will also help me apply the paint over the

Well friends, we are close to fulfilling the objective of this project. for now I'm just going to apply a little paint on the background. I do this because when it dries I have to smooth it out with the help of sandpaper
Bueno amigos, estamos cerca de cumplir el objetivo de este proyecto. por ahora solo voy a aplicar un poco de pintura en el fondo. Hago esto porque cuando se seca tengo que alisarlo con la ayuda de una lija
once dry. I start to smooth the surface where the background was applied, it has to be without imperfections so that when painting everything goes well
una vez seco. Empiezo a alisar la superficie donde se aplicó el fondo, tiene que estar sin imperfecciones para que al pintar todo salga bien
I usually use water at this point because that helps me a lot
Usualmente uso agua en este punto porque eso me ayuda mucho
It's time to wash the car, dry it and clean it because we have to cover it with paper. That's right, it's time to apply the paint
Es hora de lavar el coche, secarlo y limpiarlo porque tenemos que taparlo con papel. Así es, es hora de aplicar la pintura
the painting process takes about 2 hours, it is always good to do things slowly
el proceso de pintado dura unas 2 horas, siempre es bueno hacer las cosas despacio
At this point, the car is already covered in paint. Now all you have to do is apply a product called varnish on top of the paint
En este punto, el coche ya está cubierto de pintura. Ahora todo lo que tienes que hacer es aplicar un producto llamado barniz encima de la pintura
The varnish is the product that gives shine to the painting, and also serves as a protective layer. This product has a drying time of 24 hours. and like the paint I also apply it using an air compressor
El barniz es el producto que da brillo a la pintura, y además sirve como capa protectora. Este producto tiene un tiempo de secado de 24 horas. y al igual que la pintura también la aplico usando un compresor de aire
But we can speed up the drying process with heat. that's why we put this temperature lamp to dry the varnish in 1 hour
Pero podemos acelerar el proceso de secado con calor. por eso ponemos esta lampara de temperatura para secar el barniz en 1 hora
Remember, technology has come a long way and it's always good to know how to use the tools you have at your disposal
Recuerde, la tecnología ha avanzado mucho y siempre es bueno saber cómo usar las herramientas que tiene a su disposición
Now it only remains to dry it in parts at intervals of 20 minutes each part and that's it

Of course, you have to remove all the paper that we have put on it and clean what is necessary to leave it impeccable, then it will be ready to deliver it to its owner
