Three Amazing Things You Should Know About Hive Blockchain

Everything about Hive blockchain is special. There are just so many things to talk about Hive Blockchain that I find it difficult to pick my favorite out of them.
When I was introduced to the platform a few years ago, all I was worried about was how to survive on the chain. I have been introduced to several platforms before but I had to leave along the line because of how complex they were.
I reluctantly gave in to come onboard having it at the back of my mind that I would leave soon, accepting the fact that I am not the tech kind of guy and I know little about blogging but to my surprise, a day turned into week, and weeks into months and months into years and I am still here on Hive blockchain happily blogging.
You may be tempted to ask what happened? Truth is Hive is one of the most friendly and easy platforms to navigate.
Hive is not just a place for earning but it's a place of making. Whenever I tell people that when I started blogging I struggled to put my contents together they don't always believe me.
There are so many things I have learned from Hive Blockchain that I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. My entire crypto journey started from Hive. It was like a joke when I learned how to transfer my Hive token to Binance and to convert to other tokens.
Most of the concepts on crypto that I know today came from Hive through interacting with Hivers who are into crypto. I can go on telling stories about Hive and not find where to end.
There are so many wonderful things about Hive and selecting a few as favorites might be a bit difficult however, below are three things about Hive that stand out for me.
1 . The HBD lock up feature : I came to Hive blockchain with a very bad habit of savings. I just couldn't see a little token on my wallet, my hand would be itching to transfer them to the nearest exchange.
But I was delivered from that habit when I discovered the HBD lock-up feature on Hive, particularly on the peakd Dapp. Anytime I save my HBD using the lock-up feature, it prevents me from accessing my asset until I follow the due process of applying for a withdrawal which will take upto three days.
The stress of waiting for three days often makes me give up and end up leaving the asset there. That was how I learnt the habit of saving. If one would commit to saving using the lock up feature and be disciplined, the individual would be amazed at how much he or she would gather at the end of the day.
One sweet thing about the feature is it also gives 15% APR of whatever one saves. Imagine earning passively by just saving your assets.
2 . Varieties of niches: there are so many communities on Hive Blockchain that can serve everyone. If you don't fit into one, you will definitely fit into the other.
I pick this one of my favorites because it's not every platform that offers this privilege. In some platforms it's just one niche and everyone is forced to subscribe to it but Hive is not so, there are niches that can fit anyone depending on what you are good at.
3 . Zero transaction fee: in the crypto world today, gas fee is something that is rampant. Every little transaction has a charge attached and it's not encouraging.
Last week, A friend of mine needed $1 to run a transaction, so I offered to help me with it. When I went to send the asset to him, I discovered that there is a gas fee of $0.3 attached. I had to send extra to cover the fee. If not it will not be enough for him.
But that is not so on Hive blockchain, almost all the transactions I have executed on Hive for the past two years have been free.
I publish my contents for free, engage with other authors for free, I convert my tokens to liquid Hive free, I transfer to exchange for free. I don't know if there are silent charges though, but even if there is, it's far better than what we get from wallets and exchanges out there. I love the way things are on Hive and hope that they will continue to be this way.

Great post, @emreal I really love using Hive. The HBD lock-up feature helps me save, and I like that there are many communities to join. Plus, no transaction fees is required. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Seriously that lockup feature is a good place to save especially for those who struggle with savings . Thanks for reading boss
