We've had several downpours in the last couple of days. I'm really pleased as it's watered my garden with no cost to myself!
We had a lovely circular walk but took a slightly different route. We like to explore where we've not been before.
I'm not sure what this little caterpillar is. I used to see loads of caterpillars in my childhood but only see a few now.
I'm not sure if this is a poisonous, panther cap. Hopefully, now we've had rain we will see more fungi. At least after the showers, the sun comes back out.
We came across an old tractor in the wood. Not sure if it's still used or not. There's a campsite near here so it might be connected to that. A bit random though.
I made the mistake of putting walking shoes on instead of wellingtons. I came back with a few litres of water in my shoes!

Nice series! Lots of green! It must have been raining a lot there.
My Obsidentify app think your caterpillar will turn into
this one: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturnia_pavonia
Thank you. It's not one I've come across before.
Lovely green colour everywhere! Nice walk!
Thank you.
Ah yes...wet sock walks. I used to have a few of those. Mostly because I was to lazy to dig out the boots.
Even the shoes are drying out on the radiator!
I am pretty glad we have had a few wet days, what with fourth of July and fireworks, even though it does not really get dark people still like to fire them off up here. So far a pretty safe fire season for us and I would like it to stay that way.
I'm not a lover of fireworks. Don't mind too much if it's an organised event but not in the back garden.
The tractor still looks functional. Good you got some sun out after the rain.
Yes, it just looked a bit weathered close up.
