The tables certainly had turned. To think that he, a man once feared by all he knew could end up running for his life, far from home, living like a peasant. Only this was much worse, to be honest. His peasants lived simply in tiny houses without much to spare but here, he roamed the streets, wearing or carrying everything he owned.
This was nothing like the life he once knew. What really frightened him was the thought that maybe the voices were right. Maybe he really was crazy and he had never been the Emperor of Ganymede at all...
So, is this story about a man on the run from some sort of assassination plot on his home world or is it about a man who has lost touch with reality and and is beginning to see cracks in his delusions? It could still go either way. I'll think about putting out another installment one of these days.
On to the random words. They were...
..."peasant" and "spit". But wait, only one of those words can be found in the story! That's right, I decided it worked better with just one this time. I think some flexibility is good for creativity.
