My rosemary plant

in GEMS3 years ago

I finally collected the flowers of my rosemary plant.
Spring is here and all herbs go into flower. The problem is, in this case where the flower and seed develops, the branch dies. Same happens with many herbs and aromatic plants like lavender.
So every spring I pick up the flowers. (Got my pretty and aromatic flowers in a bag in the freezer now. Ready to be used in different dishes.)

It took me over an hour to do it.
It's funny because when we go to the supermarket we don't usually fully understand what it would take us to actually produce the food we pick up. It's an art and a science we need to recover for our daily lives.
Maybe not everything, but rosemary?
Yes, anyone with a sunny window can have a plant.

A bit of science:
Rosmarinus officinalis L. (rosemary) as therapeutic and prophylactic agent
