The onoto seed is very small, approximately 3 millimeters long, and has a peculiar heart shape and a reddish color.

Laurel is a species in the form of a leaf that is used to give odor and flavor especially to meats and sauces.

They onoto I use it daily for various types of food such as meats, vegetables, cheeses and sauces, to give it taste, yellowish or red. It has a high concentration of "vitamin E" that must be consumed by humans.

The onoto has a natural wild smell, which is enhanced by simmering it in vegetable oil to give color and taste to our food, particularly to our Venezuelan Hallacas.
