WHO IS A FRIEND?

According the Merriam-Webster dictionary, FRIEND is a person who you like and enjoy being with. Another definition
from the same dictionary is :- a person who helps or supports someone or something (such as a cause or charity. So there are some qualities you need to see in a person before you should be able to call the person a friend and I'll be listening a few here. Enjoy and take note😊

HONESTY AND TRUSTWORTHINESS

Okay, so a friend is someone who's going to have access to your private life, your stuffs, bank pins e.t.c. and if he/she isn't someone you can trust then you're taking a very big risk. Secrets can be spilled, personal belongings can be stolen, risk of betrayal also. When selecting friends, this should be a major factor you need to watch out for.

SOMEONE WHO LISTENS.

As human beings there would be a time in your life that you need someone you can open up and pour out your heart to. Someone who doesn't listen wouldn't be able to afford you such luxury let alone comfort you. You need someone who can afford to give you his/her undivided attention when needed.

LOYAL

Hmm,this one!!!
Merriam-Webster defines being loyal as having or showing complete and constant support for someone or something. You should have someone who's got your back in any circumstance. Someone who's not a fairweather friend. This also is very important.

FUN AND CARING

Obviously no one wants a boring friend even though our perceptions of 'boring' are different. You need someone you can relate with and someone that's fun to be with. Also you need someone that sincerely cares about your welfare.

NOT JUDGING ALWAYS

You need someone who doesn't judge you always but instead tries to correct in love. Someone that constantly throws your mistakes in front of you without even offer solutions is not worthy of being your friend.

NO COMPETITIVE MINDSET

Imagine having a friend that sees you as a competition 😩, that's very bad but sadly a lot of us have friends like that. They don't want to see you get better than them and they constantly make sure that you're either at their level or below them. Run!!! Flee!! Sprint!! 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️

DESIRE TO SEE YOU GROW

Now,this is one quality you should desire in a friend, someone who pushes you to be and to do better, someone who genuinely wants to see you grow and excel in life. If you find a friend like this, pay the price to keep them.
