Friday the 10th of April is a special day. It is also called good Friday for the Christian faith. Last night, I was craving for pancakes then I thought why not make it on this special day.
Luckily I had all the ingredients required to make this awesome breakfast.
The plan is to make Pancakes with fried egg on the side. While topping it with syrup.
Ingredients
- Pancake Mix(Hungry Jack)
- Eggs
- Chicken hot dog(Sausage)
- Green pepper
- Carrot
- Onion
- Tomato
- pepper
- Water
- Syrup
- salt
- seasoning cubes
The Process
The above image is the pancake mix and syrup. Maple syrup is great but honey is a better substitute. I'll choose honey over syrup. Although I used syrup as a topping , I was trying something new.
Step 1
Pour pancake mix in a bowl as shown below
Then add some water to the mix to make a paste. The paste shouldn't be water and too thick. It should be alright. Let it have a soft texture as shown below
Step 2
Set the burner to low heat while pouring some oil to the non sticky fry pan. The oil is to make the pot greasy. This is to make the past not to stick to the pot.
Then pour some quality of the paste into the hot pan to a reasonable size.
Step 3
Let it fry while flipping the it on both sides to cook properly. Make both sides cook for 1 - 2 minutes on low heat. You can let it cook longer to make the pancake darker in appearance
Repeat the process for the rest of the mix. Then transfer into a serving plate.
With our pancakes ready. We move on to frying some eggs.
Step 4
Cut the vegetables into smaller pieces. Chop the onions, peel the out layer of the carrot then dice it. Cut the green pepper bells and dice it as well. Then reduce the sausages in to finely cut rounds of slices.
Step 5
Pour some cooking oil into the fry pan while the fire is on low heat. When the oil is hot. Pour the chopped vegetables into the oil.
Add seasoning and salt then stir
Have your whisked eggs available (I used 4 eggs as the meal was for 2 persons)
Pour the whisked eggs into the the frying pan. Let it simmer for 1 - 2 minutes.
You have the option to let the egg fry while flipping each side like the pancake. It would be difficult as your expected result may not turn out as you want. But, you could have your eggs looking like pizza 😉.
Anyhoo, I whisked the eggs then swerved it on the side with the pancake.
The meal was ready and looked yummy.
Snapshot is essential...
Don't forget to pour some syrup or honey on the pancake 😁
This looks so tasty! I move the motion for more recipes 😄
