There are other front-ends you can use with Hive, they all get the content from the blockchain, have different design and some of them offer additional functions. One of the most popular is Peakd, you can click in my Peakd profile link and will see the same exact content as you can see here in Ecency.
Peakd uses a wallet verification system in order for you to access the account, so you first will need to install a wallet to do so. The most popular Hive wallet is Hive Keychain
Install the chrome version and import your account with your master password, you will then be able to go do Peakd, click the login button and Keychain will open up to request you for confirmation. If everything works correctly you should be able to login.
Keychain is also used to access some other dApps (decentralized Apps) which use Hive blockchain so it is a good idea to set it up in your computer or your smartphone even if you still want to keep using Ecency.
Another option in your smartphone is to install a very well designed App called Dapplr or use Ecency smartphone version App.
