En tiempos de la posverdad, las fake news y el apogeo de las redes sociales, se hace necesario entender qué es opinión y qué es agresión para prevenir el acoso y el matoneo sistemático.
”Mi libertad termina donde empieza la tuya”, formuló en vida Jean Paul Sartre, filósofo francés y premio Nobel de Literatura, quien dedicó buena parte de sus obras y pensamientos a hablar sobre la libertad de los individuos a mediados del siglo XX. Sin duda una época muy diferente a la de hoy, en pleno apogeo de los totalitarismos en Europa, los horrores de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y la ansiada posguerra. La sociedad de ese entonces intentaba dejar atrás la barbarie de la guerra y el holocausto. No en vano, en ese mismo periodo nació la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos que, en sus 30 artículos, tuvo el firme propósito de impulsar la convivencia pacífica entre los seres humanos y la no repetición de los enfrentamientos que dejaron al mundo sumido en la miseria.
Dentro de estos, se incluyó el derecho al pensamiento, a la conciencia y todo lo referente a las libertades políticas, que quedaron contenidos en los artículos 18, 19, 20 y 21. “Todo individuo tiene derecho a la libertad de opinión y de expresión; este derecho incluye el de no ser molestado a causa de sus opiniones, el de investigar y recibir informaciones y opiniones, y el de difundirlas, sin limitación de fronteras, por cualquier medio de expresión”, asegura el documento publicado en 1948.

¿Qué es la Libertad de expresión?:
La libertad de expresión es el derecho fundamental que tienen las personas a decir, manifestar y difundir de manera libre lo que piensan sin por ello ser hostigadas. Como tal, es una libertad civil y política, relativa al ámbito de la vida pública y social, que caracteriza a los sistemas democráticos y es imprescindible para el respeto de los demás derechos.
En la democracia, la libertad de expresión es fundamental porque permite el debate, la discusión y el intercambio de ideas entre actores políticos y demás integrantes de la sociedad en torno a temas de interés público. Es por ello que no podemos considerar como democrática una sociedad donde no haya libertad de expresión.
Por otro lado, la libertad de expresión es una manifestación real y concreta en el espacio público de otra libertad esencial para la realización personal de los seres humanos: la libertad de pensamiento. __________________________________________________________
What is Freedom of expression?:
Freedom of expression is the fundamental right that people have to freely say, express and spread what they think without being harassed. As such, it is a civil and political freedom, related to the sphere of public and social life, which characterizes democratic systems and is essential for the respect of other rights.
In democracy, freedom of expression is essential because it allows debate, discussion, and the exchange of ideas between political actors and other members of society around issues of public interest. That is why we cannot consider as democratic a society where there is no freedom of expression.
On the other hand, freedom of expression is a real and concrete manifestation in the public space of another freedom essential for the personal fulfillment of human beings: freedom of thought.

Mi significado de libre expresión
En mi opinión LIBRE EXPRESIÓN representa en su totalidad la capacidad de hablar y actuar independientemente de criticas, claro está que respetando los intereses de las demás personas por estar escrito en nuestra constitución como derecho fundamental de cada individuo.
My meaning of free expression
In my opinion, FREE EXPRESSION represents in its entirety the ability to speak and act independently of criticism, of course, respecting the interests of other people for being written in our constitution as the fundamental right of each individual.
¿Vale la pena salvar la libertad de expresion ?
la libre expresión SI vale la pena salvarla,¿ por que salvarla? salvarla porque está en un punto tan critico que las personas que siguen sus profesiones o pasiones son duramente criticados o en su defecto asesinadas o censurados por personas o entes que no les conviene que las personas piensen y actúen por si mismas para así mantener controlado la opinión de las masas que salen día a día a las calles a denunciar las problemáticas que aquejan nuestra sociedad y no nos dejan gozar de la "LIBERTAD" que supuestamente poseemos como seres humanos.
Is freedom of expression worth saving?
free expression IS worth saving, why save it? save it because it is at such a critical point that people who follow their professions or passions are harshly criticized or, failing that, murdered or censored by people or entities that it is not in their interest for people to think and act for themselves in order to keep their opinion under control of the masses who go out into the streets day by day to denounce the problems that afflict our society and do not allow us to enjoy the "FREEDOM" that we supposedly possess as human beings.
Libertad de expresión en Colombia
Con la iniciativa de @theycallmedan les quiero contar que:
Colombia, hasta hace poco, en lo que tiene que ver con libertad de expresión y libertad de prensa había mejorado sustancialmente con respecto a décadas pasadas. Efectivamente, el número de asesinatos y acciones víctimizantes contra periodistas y líderes de opinión se han reducido. Si bien las amenazas continúan, lo cierto es que el Estado ha comenzado a proteger a estos líderes de opinión. También, aquellas épocas en que se prohibía entrevistar personas o se evitaban entrevistar a corrientes políticas son cosas del pasado. El avance hasta hace poco era impresionante ya que a principios del 2019 los indices de homicidios contra lideres sociales y periodistas han aumentado exponencialmente ademas de la sorpresiva censura contra canales de de television sobre opinion publica.

With the initiative of @theycallmedan I want to tell you that:
Colombia, until recently, in what has to do with freedom of expression and freedom of the press, had improved substantially compared to past decades. Indeed, the number of murders and victimizing actions against journalists and opinion leaders has been reduced. Although the threats continue, the truth is that the State has begun to protect these opinion leaders. Also, those times in which it was prohibited to interview people or to avoid interviewing political currents are things of the past. The progress until recently was impressive since in early 2019 the murder rates against social leaders and journalists have increased exponentially in addition to the surprising censorship against television channels on public opinion.
