It's a tradition for us to fry bean cake every weekend. This weekend I ate it with corn starch locally called akamu or starch.
Ingredients to make bean cake
Beans
Pepper
Salt
Maggi
Groundnut oil.
Preparations
I ground the beans with a grinding machine so it could look like this;
Then I mixed it with Maggi, salt and pepper. Immediately after I put the groundnut oil and allow to heat.
Later on I checked using a spoon of akara to know if the oil is hot enough.
Since it's hot enough, I added others for it to fry. Repeated the process until I'm done frying.
Kindly note: Bring out a small quantity to fry and add salt. Don't add salt at once to all of them because if left for a long time it would become watery.
After frying my akara looks like this
Then served with smoothly done corn starch aka akamu
Enjoy your meal!!!
