Bike routes through Caracas / Bici rutas por Caracas

This year began with a new and healthy routine for us, as we began to make collective bicycle routes throughout Caracas.

When I talk about this I was moved, because I have always loved riding a bike and doing it again in recent months has been the best way to rediscover myself with the streets that are beginning to wake up from the pandemic lethargy.

The pleasant surprise for us was that a few months ago a café with a Bici Café concept opened very close to my house, managed by a fantastic and very organized team called “Bici de escapada cultural.”

They are in charge of organizing rides in the format of bike tours throughout the city of Caracas, including sub-urban routes, where they guarantee the rental and maintenance of bicycles and accessories, hydration and snacks, as well as an excellent team that includes mechanics, paramedics , comprehensive support, plus interesting thematic guides that make each tour unique.

The experience with them has exceeded all our expectations. This year we have been able to be in four activities, in which I have allowed myself to have a closer view of the diverse group that makes up urban cycling.

It has been a beautiful encounter with the city, its spaces and its people.

Bici rutas

Este año comenzó con una rutina novedosa y saludable para nosotros, ya que comenzamos a hacer rutas colectivas en bicicletas por toda Caracas.

Cuando hablo de esto me emocionó, porque la verdad siempre me ha encantado montar bici y volver a hacerlo estos últimos meses ha sido la mejor manera de reencontrarme con las calles que comienzan a despertar del letargo pandémico.

La grata sorpresa para nosotros fue que hace unos meses abrieron muy cerca de mi casa, un café con un concepto de Bici Café, administrado por un equipo fantástico y muy organizado llamado “Bici de escapada cultural.”

Ellos son los encargados de organizar rodadas en formato de bici tours por toda la ciudad de Caracas, incluyendo rutas sub urbanas, dónde garantizan el alquiler y mantenimiento de las bicicletas y accesorios, hidratación y refrigerios, además de un excelente equipo que incluye mecanico, paramédicos, apoyo integral, además interesantes guiaturas temáticas que hacen cada paseo único.

La experiencia con ellos ha superado todas nuestras expectativas. Este año hemos podido estar en cuatro actividades, en las que me he permitido tener un panorama más cercano sobre la diverso colectivo que conforman el ciclismo urbano.

Ha sido un encuentro hermoso con la ciudad, sus espacios y su gente.
