¡ASÍ COMO LO LEEN! Hace justamente 10 días mi novio, con el cual llevo más de 5 años, me pidió matrimonio y, créanme, esto ha sido una TOTAL LOCURA.

JUST AS THEY READ IT! Just 10 days ago my boyfriend, with whom I've been working for more than 5 years, asked me to marry and, believe me, this has been TOTAL CRAZY.

Desde lloradera de mis familiares y allegados, hasta llamadas de felicitaciones inesperadas (e inclusive llamadas que esperaba y nunca recibí, JÁ).

From the crying of my family and friends, to unexpected congratulatory calls (and even calls that I expected and never received, Ha).

Como me encanta echarles cuentos, les contaré todo sobre este día. Lo primero es explicarles que mi relación con Boris nunca ha sido "común". Decidimos casarnos el año pasado, e inclusive él fue a comprar el anillo en ese momento. Y sí, yo lo sabía todo. Porque somos sumamente malos dándonos sorpresas o guardándonos secretos.

Since I love to tell you stories, I will tell you all about this day. The first thing is to explain that my relationship with Boris has never been "ordinary". We decided to get married last year, and he even went to buy the ring at that time. And yes, I knew everything. Because we are extremely bad at giving each other surprises or keeping secrets.

¿Qué sucedía? Que como aún no teníamos ni cómo mantenernos a nosotros mismos, pensamos que lo mejor era esperar al momento donde mejoráramos nuestra situación económica y superáramos ciertas etapas que eran necesarias.

What was going on? That since we didn't even have a way to support ourselves yet, we thought it was best to wait for the moment when we would improve our economic situation and overcome certain stages that were necessary.

Y así es como llegó el lunes de la semana antepasada: Boris y yo, sentados conversando sobre la vida, decidimos que ya era momento para pasar al siguiente paso... PERO WAIT!! ESTAMOS EN CUARENTENA. ¿CÓMO NOS VAMOS A COMPROMETER ASÍ? Pues literalmente nada nos importó, pues el amor era muchísimo más grande.

And that's how Monday of the previous week arrived: Boris and I, sitting down to talk about life, decided that it was time to take the next step? BUT WAIT! WE ARE IN QUARANTINE. HOW ARE WE GOING TO COMMIT OURSELVES LIKE THIS? Well, literally nothing mattered to us, because the love was so much greater.

Planificamos un viaje para diciembre y a Boris se le ocurrió llevarme a la iglesia, mi lugar favorito, y pedirme matrimonio delante de un sacerdote (muy amigo nuestro) como testigo. Y así fue como decidimos casarnos.

We planned a trip for December and Boris came up with the idea of taking me to church, my favorite place, and propose to me in front of a priest (a very good friend of ours) as a witness. And that's how we decided to get married.

Quisimos que se realizara este evento secreto (nadie más lo sabía) el día viernes de esa misma semana (18 de septiembre). Fuimos a la parroquia durante la noche, el Padre nos confesó (vale la pena acotar que, a pesar de que yo soy súper entregada a los apostolados y labores sociales de la iglesia, Boris es agnóstico JAJAJAJA, y me pareció un gesto mucho más bonito que quisiera hacerme feliz comprometiéndonos en donde yo sentía que era mi segundo hogar), y procedimos al acto.

We wanted this secret event to take place (nobody else knew) on Friday of that same week (September 18). We went to the parish during the night, Father confessed to us (it is worth noting that, although I am super dedicated to the apostolates and social work of the church, Boris is an agnostic JAJAJAJA, and it seemed a much nicer gesture that he wanted to make me happy by committing us to where I felt it was my second home), and we proceeded to the ceremony.

¿Lo gracioso? El padre no sabía qué hacer porque era la primera vez que alguien venía a comprometerse y no a casarse a la parroquia, JAJAJAJA. Así que inventó un ritual y todo salió BELLÍSIMO.

The funny thing? The father didn't know what to do because it was the first time someone had come to the parish to get engaged and not married, hahaha. So he invented a ritual and everything came out BEAUTIFUL.

Luego de ello fuimos a mi casa a contar la noticia (aún secreta, ni siquiera había montado una historia de WhatsApp sobre ello) y no tienen idea de lo graciosas y extrañas que fueron cada una de las reacciones. Hasta mi hermana, @soycristi, lloró (cosa que no me esperaba de ella).

After that we went to my house to tell the news (still secret, I hadn't even made up a WhatsApp story about it) and you have no idea how funny and strange each reaction was. Even my sister, @soycristi, cried (which I didn't expect from her).

Así que bueno, supongo que ahora me adentré oficialmente a la etapa de la adultez, así que deséenme suerte con todo el asunto del matrimonio y con mis intentos fallidos de comprarme un carro (porque todos siempre tienen un detalle que me obligan a no adquirirlos).

So, well, I guess I'm now officially entering the adult stage, so wish me luck with the whole marriage thing and my failed attempts to buy a car (because everyone always has a detail that forces me not to buy one).
