Hello everyone!
There's nothing I love more in my photos than good natural lighting, seemingly artistic shadows and a good ol' smile 😁.
Here's a photo from a photo shoot which almost went sideways in a funny way.
On this day, I was to meet up with a photographer who I had been in contact with on Instagram. Apparently he was in the same city as I was so we made plans for a collaboration as soon as possible. I had contacted 2 female models for the shoot and they were very keen on the project.
Funny thing is, I and my photographer friend got to the agreed location and waited over 2 HOURS before the models arrived. We were already exhausted from waiting in the hot sun and I personally had lost all the motivation I had.
Tip for the future: NEVER make your photographer wait, it breaks our hearts😭.
Now, as if that wasn't bad enough, as soon as we started getting ready and doing test shots, the "very hot and sunny" weather! quickly switched up and it started raining. The photo you see below is a shot I was able to salvage when it started to drizzle and there was still a bit of sunlight peeking through the clouds (Lucky me!). My friend was able to get some shots as well and eventually we had to pack up and literally run for the hills as the rain got heavier so no one gets soaked and we don't damage our equipment.
Here is the photo I took which ended up being my favourite. It was taken with a Nikon 35mm f/1.8 AF lens. I simply asked the model to stretch up her hands between her and the light source (sun) whilst I maneuvered the camera to get a shot from a good angle.
The photo was colourgraded on the Lightroom Mobile app on my smartphone.
Here are the settings I used for the photo. It was shot on my Nikon D3400 DSLR camera.
I hope you like the photo and it made you smile as well😁. Stay tuned for more uploads folks!
