This is not an article like the ones I usually do, because I’m sure you’re wondering, what’s up with the title? New account? What does Mr. DigitalDicast mean? Well, let’s put it in context, without further ado, let’s start with the article!

¡Muy buenas amigos de Hive! Les saluda DigitalDicast en un nuevo artículo para Hive!

Este no es un artículo como los que suelo hacer, pues de seguro se preguntarán, ¿Qué onda con el título? ¿Nueva cuenta? ¿A qué se referirá el señor DigitalDicast? Pues los pongo un poco en contexto, sin más que decir empecemos con el artículo!

When I created this account, I thought this would be like one of those pages in which you publish things to earn a few cents, I did not have much faith so to speak, the most I had earned on the internet was $ 2 (USD) so I was motivated but unmotivated at the same time, because I had just opened the page to see how it was, it was amazing and I saw people who earned up to $ 80 (obviously what appeared below the articles, because I thought that was the amount that the authors would receive).

Cuándo me creé esta cuenta, pensaba que esto sería como una de esas páginas cualquiera en las cuales publicas cosas para ganar unos centavos, no tenía mucha fé por así decirlo, lo máximo que había ganado en internet fueron 2$(USD) así que estaba motivado pero desmotivado a la vez, pues apenas había abierto la página para ver cómo era, era increíble y veía gente que ganaba hasta 80 dólares (obvio lo que aparecía debajo de los artículos, pues pensaba que esa era la cantidad que recibirían los autores)

The thing is that I created the account, and as I was a little meh and I knew I would leave it in a few weeks, I put this username @andresito9522 the truth is I did not care much about the username, because as I said before, I knew I would leave Hive in a few weeks (as I always did with the faucets without withdrawing).

Little by little I was learning on this platform called Hive, I had become fond of the ecency dapp and I was already earning my first dollars, this seemed incredible to me because what I achieved in a month with a phone app I was achieving in a week…

El caso es que me creé la cuenta, y como me daba un poco meh y sabría que la dejaría a las pocas semanas, pues me puse este username @andresito9522 la verdad no me importaba mucho el username, pues como ya había dicho antes, sabría que dejaría Hive en unas semanas (como siempre hacía con los faucets sin retirar)

Poco a poco aprendía en esta plataforma llamada Hive, me había encariñado con la dapp de ecency y ya estaba ganando mis primeros dólares, esto me parecía increíble porque lo que lograba en un mes con una app del teléfono yo lo lograba en una semana..

But not only that, but I had also become attached to the communities, people who support me and are very kind, communities like Hive Mexico, Voto Vzla, the radio, proyecto aliento, the commentators, the terminal, mayvileros, smile, music for life, Hispapro and many more, besides doing good dynamics and being very kind, they helped me in this platform and made me even more motivated….

Pero no solo eso, si no que también me había encariñado con las comunidades, gente que me apoya y son muy amables, comunidades como Hive México, Voto Vzla, la radio, proyecto aliento, los comentadores, la terminal, mayvileros, smile, music for life, Hispapro y muchas más, aparte de hacer buenas dinámicas y ser muy amables, me ayudaron en esta plataforma y hicieron que me motivara aún más…

But then, what if everything was going great? Well, here it goes.

Pero… ¿y entonces? ¿Qué era lo que pasaba si todo iba de maravilla? Pues aquí les va.

I had realized that I was growing little by little in this bloggers platform and that I would start to succeed if I made an effort, I wanted to change my old name, @andresito9522, because that name was a reminder that I did not trust this platform at the beginning, besides I already had an original and unpublished one which I would be very happy to carry it, DigitalDicast.

Me había dado cuenta de que crecía poco a poco en esta plataforma de bloggers y que empezaría a triunfar si me esforzaba, quería cambiar mi antiguo nombre, @andresito9522, pues ese nombre era el recuerdo de que yo no confiaba en esta plataforma al principio, además de que ya tenía uno original e inédito el cuál me haría muy feliz portarlo, DigitalDicast.

When I wanted to change it, I had not found the option to do it, I asked in a community to see if they could help me, what bad news they had given me…

It turns out that usernames could not be changed within hive, because that was like a Wallet address and it was already recorded in the blockchain, I was depressed because “andresito9522” was a name that I did not like at all and was quite common and common, yes, in my posts I called myself DigitalDicast but the dissatisfaction that gave me to see that it was not the name that was reflected everywhere because it made me quite dissatisfied and depressed ….

Cuando lo quería cambiar no había encontrado la opción para hacerlo, pregunté en una comunidad a ver si me ayudaban, que mala noticia me habían dado…

Resulta que los nombres de usuario no se podían cambiar dentro de hive, debido a que eso era como una dirección de Wallet y además ya estaba grabado en la blockchain, me había puesto deprimido puesto que “andresito9522” era un nombre que no me gustaba del todo y era bastante común y corriente, si, en mis post’s me llamaba a mi mismo DigitalDicast pero la insatisfacción que me daba al ver que no era el nombre que se reflejaba en todas partes pues me ponía bastante insatisfecho y deprimido...

So, I had made a decision, If I am new and I have nothing to lose, besides the fact that hive power is delegated and HBD and HIVE can be transferred, why not create another account and set it as user @digitaldicast ?

Entonces, había tomado una decisión, Si soy nuevo y no tengo nada que perder, además de que el hive power se delega y se pueden transferir los HBD y los HIVE, ¿Por qué no crear otra cuenta y ponerle de usuario @digitaldicast ?

It would look childish, but I really like my new name and I love the fact that every time I’m going to publish an article, my real username, @digitaldicast, will appear, and this would not be the only thing, because I would also add a new profile icon! Since the one I currently have does look cool, but I don’t like the fact that it is also used by several people and stuff, so I will make a new icon totally original!

Another thing was that I had forgotten to do was an introduction of myself to the community, what a fool I was, because of that I also wanted to create my new account, the first post you will see will be my introduction to this platform!

Parecería infantil, pero me gusta mucho mi nombre nuevo y me fascina el hecho de que cada vez que vaya a publicar un artículo, aparezca mi verdadero nombre de usuario, @digitaldicast , además, esto no sería lo único, ¡pues también añadiría un nuevo icono de perfil! Ya que el que tengo actualmente si se ve guay, pero no me gusta el hecho de que también lo utilicen varias personas y eso, ¡Así que haré un nuevo icono totalmente original!

Otra cosa era que se me había olvidado hacer era una introducción de mí hacia la comunidad, que tonto fui, debido a eso quise también crear mi nueva cuenta, el primer post que verán será mi introducción hacia esta plataforma!
