Happy Valentine's Day, you!

How are you? How's the day going? Got gifts? Got calls? Did somebody appreciate you today? Well, here's me telling you - I appreciate you! You're awesome, amazing and kind. Yes, you might not be romantically involved now but you've got love - don't think for a minute that you're not worth loving, you are and I need you to know it. Say it aloud c'mon: I am love! I'm loved and I'm worthy of love. Yes, I am!

I'm glad it fell on a Monday, low-key. Lagosians aren't pleased at all but they still make do with what they have. If they have to work from home tomorrow just so they can give their partners the time of their life today - I know they'll do it 🤣🤣. I work from home so it's been pretty much busy on my end - new tasks to complete and more quality leads to get.

I had a conversation with a friend about a quote I saw somewhere. " I wish every woman knew what it feels like to be truly spoiled because a lot of you do cartwheels over basic treatment and over reciprocate because you're not used to someone unconditionally choosing and loving you". When you experience love in it's truest form, you know that you're blessed because it's rare. Most people have been too hurt to love as much, too scared to express love or too proud to let love lead.

There are basic things you do when you're in love. Say like texting when you can't talk, sending thoughtful gifts, checking in to see how their day went, sending over food because you know they get hungry at a particular time, sending helpful materials over to them when you find, letting them know when you get home - simple, basic stuff. Just because they're basic doesn't mean you get to overlook them and not be appreciative when they're done. It's how you should expect when someone says they love you. There are a ton of other things that come with love but to each his own and the expression levels are different.

In the conversation I had, my friend was of the opinion that women don't give men the barest minimum, so women shouldn't expect anything or complain when they don't get anything. Seems like to him, we're in a world where women are entitled and men suffer alot and still don't get the barest minimum from their women. It's a truth - it's his truth.

I'd like to think that other truths exist and for me, who loves to show love to friends and lovers like they mean the world to me, of course I get a man who understands this and acts accordingly. A man who spoils is a man who gets spoiled. Energyyyy baby! 😅

I would just really like for everyone to experience and know what true love is, what it entails so that going forward, they never settle for less. They never seem like they're doing too much or too little.

The right person for you, will come. You'll see 😉 and it'd be everything you've ever hoped for and more.
