One of my favorite desserts is ice cream and it's been a year since I made the last one myself, the motivation this time was that we wanted to eat ice cream and the ice cream shop that is close to home has not opened since December and buying ice cream normally in the supermarket is too expensive for what it brings, so I decided to make my own ice cream again but this time I used whipping cream instead of heavy cream, since I didn't get milk cream of a decent size and price around here, most sell super small milk cream and also very expensive, this whipping cream cost me $8 and it is a liter, I found it much better than buying a simple chocolate ice cream that costs more than $15, I can tell you and assure you that this ice cream was very good, better than the ones I have made before and I want to share with you this experience.
Crema para batir de 1 Litro
Una lata de leche condensada
Vainilla
Dulce a tu gusto (puede ser chocolate, galletas, etc)
1 liter whipping cream
One can of condensed milk
Vanilla
Candy to your liking (can be chocolate, cookies, etc.)
To use the cream it is important to keep it cold for several hours, then take it out and in this case I used two cups to make a vanilla flavored ice cream with Piruetas which is a tube-shaped cookie that comes filled with chocolate, it is very delicious and with the ice cream I knew it would be spectacular, add the two cups in a bowl and began to whip, if you want you can beat until you reach the texture of whipped cream or just leave it thick without whipping it like cream, I decided to just leave it thick, then I took the condensed milk and added vanilla and stirred it, I proceeded to integrate it into the vanilla mixture and beat it manually, then I added the piruetas.
I had some whipping cream left over, so I started to add it in another smaller container and beat it with the mixer until I got that thick texture and this time I wanted a chocolate flavor so I added cocoa to the condensed milk mixture and blended it all well, added the mixture and beat again.
Once my two mixtures were ready, I proceeded to cover them with a bag and put them in the freezer, it should be freezing for at least 8 hours.
In my case it had not yet passed the full 8 hours but I decided to take a look at it and although it still needs to freeze in the center, in the corners it is quite frozen and creamy, the ice cream was divine and the texture is really something out of this world.
It is quite simple to make and honestly has NOTHING to envy to any other ice cream, I am thinking of making soon one that is very intense chocolate, with tempered chocolate coating, it would be spectacular.
Today I can say that I approve this whipping cream to make homemade ice cream.
