Hoy fue un día diferente para nosotros y aunque fue entretenido algunas cosas pasaron que me dejaron un poco inquieta, pero aun asi intenté mantener buena actitud a pesar de las cosas un poco tristes que pude apreciar hoy. Como es costumbre, mi mama nos visito esta navidad y hemos compartido días muy agradables, hoy decidimos tomar aire fresco y caminar un poco, al final terminamos entrando al Zoológico que queda cerca de mi casa, como he mencionado antes, no suelo ir muy seguido a este lugar, de hecho, fui hace unos meses atrás y para aquel entonces todo estaba bien.
Today was a different kind of day for us, and although it was entertaining, some things happened that left me a little uneasy. Even so, I tried to maintain a positive attitude despite the somewhat sad things I witnessed today. As usual, my mom visited us this Christmas, and we've had some very pleasant days together. Today, we decided to get some fresh air and take a walk. We ended up going into the zoo near my house. As I mentioned before, I don't usually go there very often; in fact, I went a few months ago, and everything was fine then.
Desde que vivo aquí mi mama me ha visitado muchísimas veces pero creo que en solo dos ocasiones fue al zoológico, siempre decíamos que iríamos pero se nos olvidaba, hoy lo hicimos realidad y me sorprendí bastante con el estado en que vi el zoológico.
Since I've lived here, my mom has visited me many times, but I think she's only gone to the zoo twice. We always said we would go, but we forgot. Today we made it happen, and I was quite surprised by the state the zoo was in.
El olor en el zoológico era mas fuerte de lo normal, las aguas de los animales se veía podrida, animales que tienen un lugar especifico en el zoológico hoy estaban caminando libremente por todas las áreas del parque, animales con mucha hambre o muy flacos.
The smell in the zoo was stronger than normal, the animals' water looked rotten, animals that have a specific place in the zoo were walking freely through all areas of the park today, animals that were very hungry or very thin.
Todo se veía muy sucio, algunos animales tenían una expresión como de tristeza y realmente fue un paseo muy extraño… me dio mucho sentimiento con los pobres animales y me sorprendió como cambio el Zoológico en estos últimos meses.
Everything looked very dirty, some animals had a sad expression, and it was a really strange walk… I felt very sorry for the poor animals and I was surprised at how much the Zoo has changed in recent months.
creo que la parte mas traumática fue la zona de contacto, en esta parte puedes tener contacto directo con algunos animales, el lugar estaba lleno de heces por todos lados, los animales se paraban sobre su propio excremento y además hay una especie de tienda que vende zanahorias para alimentar a los animales y fue terrible poder alimentar a algunos ya que tenían tanta hambre que se desesperaban. Los gansos y patos me seguían con intencione4s de arrancarme la bolsa de las manos.
I think the most traumatic part was the contact zone. In this area, you can have direct contact with some of the animals. The place was covered in feces everywhere; the animals were standing in their own excrement. There's also a kind of shop that sells carrots to feed the animals, and it was awful trying to feed some of them because they were so hungry they were desperate. The geese and ducks followed me around, trying to snatch the bag from my hands.
Aparte de ver el parque en un estado bastante cuestionable, tambien nos sentamos un rato en una zona que me gusta mucho, esta un poco lejos de los animales y ahí huele limpio, se puede escuchar solo la brisa a través de las hojas de los arboles y desestresarse por un momento allí, mi hijo la paso bastante bien, el aun no se da cuenta de aquellas cosas feas que notamos los adultos. Y bueno, mi mama tambien se distrajo un rato.
Aside from seeing the park in a rather questionable state, we also sat for a while in an area I really like. It's a bit away from the animals, and it smells clean. You can only hear the breeze through the leaves of the trees and unwind for a moment there. My son had a great time; he's not yet aware of the unpleasant things we adults notice. And well, my mom also enjoyed herself for a while.
