Purslane rose or rose moss (Portulaca grandiflora) is a small ornamental plant belonging to the family Portulacaceae, this flower originates from South America.
This annual plant can grow between 15 cm - 30 cm with wet stems and often branching from the base, the stems grow upright or partially on the surface of the soil. This plant is planted as a side crop in gardens either on the home or garden - city parks and there are from the lowlands above sea level.
Characteristic of this flower
The leaves are single, thick fleshy, cylindrical in shape with flowers clustered 2-8 at the end of the stem, blooming in the morning and withering in the late afternoon, the color of the flowers is pink, white, orange or yellow. Purslane is easy to maintain without requiring a lot of water, which is why this plant is suitable for planting in places that are dry or have little rainfall.
