Daily Diary

After the student movement in Bangladesh, there were significant network issues, and since then, I haven't accessed this website. Due to various commitments, I also couldn't write regularly. From now on, I'll try to write consistently.

Morning:

At seven in the morning, I woke up, brushed my teeth, and freshened up. After finishing my breakfast, I set off for work. As usual, upon reaching my workplace, I went over my tasks and reviewed the accounts. The morning had a bit of a chill in the air, and the atmosphere was refreshing, almost as if winter had arrived. This is how I began my day today.

Afternoon:

At lunchtime, I went home to eat, as we usually have our meal around this time. Once home, I took a shower to freshen up and then completed my lunch. After eating, I rested for a bit because it was very sunny and hot outside today. The weather felt entirely different from the morning—it was cool earlier, but now it was extremely warm, with not a single cloud in the sky and the sun blazing down. After resting, I set off for work again, and upon returning, everyone resumed their tasks. I, too, got back to my work.

Evening:

In the afternoon, the weather relaxed a bit. During this time, many vehicles arrive at our station to refuel, making it extremely busy, so taking photos wasn’t possible. Generally, trucks and cargo vehicles come in and they mostly take diesel, while motorcycles and private cars opt for petrol and octane. These three fuels are the most sold here. In Bangladesh, these three fuels—diesel, petrol, and octane—are commonly used in vehicles, regardless of the type of transport.

Night:

At night, it’s time for me to finish my shift, so I hand over the day's accounts. The work routine here is quite simple—each morning, we go over the tasks, and by night, we hand over the accounts to the next shift. While the job isn’t too challenging, it’s not entirely easy either, as large sums are handled daily, making it crucial to be accurate with the accounts. Any minor mistake can lead to issues, so we have to perform our duties with extra caution. The sales are tracked through machine readings, which show how many liters were sold each day. These readings are checked when it’s time for us to leave, providing a clear record of the daily fuel sales.
