Hii Hive Runners, how are you doing?
I hope you're doing well. After finishing the Banten 5K Run two weeks ago, I planned to take a break from race events. So I just did my usual training and easy run.
A few times during my training, I felt my shin and calf area was a bit sore, but I tried to ignore it. Because I thought it was just a normal pain.
RACE DAY
TAIWAN EXCELLENCE RUN was actually not on my list this month, I didn't sign up for it because it was a location I had never been to, so I didn't sign up for it. Two days before the race, my uncle asked about my schedule on Sunday, and offered to join the Taiwan event.
Yup, this time there was no racepack, because my uncle got a prize from the organizer because of the previous event, so I only got a BIB number. But I'm still happy, because I can join this event. Moreover, I can run in a new place. Of course I asked my Uncle to pick me up. Because I still don't know the way haha.
I was surprised because we reached the venue at 5.30am. I thought the flag off would start at 6am, but it turned out to be 7am. We went around each booth while
waiting for the flag off.
But as it turned out, the flag off started at 8 o'clock, oh my gosh it was so hot, I thought. Why did it start so late? As I ran, I felt the heat of the sun. Because this place is close to the beach.
Plus, there were so many participants, it even made it difficult for me to run. I started with a pace of 9:12 for my first kilometer. When I was about to enter kilometer 3, my legs were hurting, so I stopped at the medical point to ask for hot cream. And I continued my run.
With a moving time of 55:35 I finished my 5K albeit very slowly with an Average Pace of 10:41. Because even until the end, it was still difficult to pass quickly plus my legs hurt.
Finally I got my medal, the medal was beautiful, and after that I took a picture with my friends.
Then what about my sore foot? Of course it still hurts, after the Taiwan race I went to physiotherapy, because the pain around the shin is probably a shin split.
Hope you all run safely and avoid injury, because it's really troublesome.

Quizás tienes una periostitis, a veces los zapatos en lugar de ayudarnos, nos afectan.. Es mejor que te revise el fisiatra y te medique, saludos
It seems like my old shoes hurt my feet, I went to physiotherapy last week and had to go back there again
