My 1st Run (10K, 48:10)

Yoyoyo guys!!
This is my first post in this community, and I decided to upload my first race (10Κ) in which I participated last Sunday (7/12/25) in the city of Orchomenos.

By clicking here you can see the official results of the race (13th place).
And here you can check the race on my Strava account

Just one month after I started running, the 48:10 performance was really good, and the best is yet to come.

When I first started, I was thinking about running long distances (20–40Κ), but since I'm only 21 years old, I decided to also work on my speed as well as my endurance. So I’ll be taking part in 5Κ and 10Κ races too.

I’d be happy if you could share or suggest your own training programs, since I’m still a beginner and don’t know much yet.

See you in my upcoming posts about my training.

Cool! Have fun in your running journey!

On the running programs, my advice would be to start with fun runs that you enjoy and focus on your weekly kilometer stats. Getting faster and able to run longer routes is mostly determined on how many kilometers you run in a week.

When building try to take your time when increasing your weekly kilometers, max weekly increase of 5%.

Have fun!

Thank you for your advice, I'll keep that in mind!!!
