Every day there is less, we are 2 rotations and a thesis from the end. I know I always say the same thing, but it's amazing how quickly this year has passed me by. Nothing ago I told you in a post how it was my first day in the surgery rotation, which was my first contact with the hospital. Today, a long time later, I will tell you how was the last day of this rotation. It is said quickly, but how much has happened since then.

I have noticed the great change that I have made in these years. Maria from before had trouble starting a conversation with patients, she was very shy and was always afraid to say what she thought for fear of being wrong. Today, I am one of those who starts gossiping with patients, jokes at them, and tries to make them smile, give them a good treatment, that at least makes them forget all the bad time that their pathology implies. Every day I let go more, it is easier for me to socialize with family and patients.

Another big change that I see in myself is security. Before doing a procedure, no matter how simple, it gave me a horrible fear. Nowadays I do the cures, I put the probes and my hands do not sweat or tremble. Even with the sutures I have much more practice with the forceps. I have evolved a lot in that regard. As they say, practice makes perfect, and although obviously I am not the most expert, here we go, every day learning a little more, gaining experience little by little.

Although surgery has never been one of my favorite rotations, I admit that this time I enjoyed it a lot, the doctor was too didactic with her classes, and despite the whole issue of the pandemic, she knew how to master the art of online classes. I think that one of the things that most motivates you to study passionately, or at least in my case it is like that, is having an incredible teacher, who dedicates himself to teaching in different ways and always looking for strategies that encourage us and make us fall in love with his subject , I know those classes that are nice to hear.
