Hello everyone. Happy weekends everyone...
What are you doing right now to spend your weekend with your family?
I want to share a bit about my weekend.
Today I was invited by my husband to eat Mie Lontong on one of the side streets in front of the school.
This is one of the street food in Indonesia that only exists in the city of Semarang, if you are visiting Indonesia you must try it, because besides being delicious and cheap and also healthy because the contents also do not contain cholesterol so it does not endanger our health.
Mie lontong is an abbreviation of the word bakmi because it is called noodles lontong so there must be noodles and lontong of course. In addition, there are bean sprouts, some slices of brown tofu, gendar crackers and onion water, sprinkled with celery and fried onions. The good thing here is that you can add gendar crackers and it's free or you don't have to pay for the gendar crackers. You can take some gendar crackers if you like them.
What is Gendar? Gendar crackers are crackers made from rice dough that is seasoned with spices and flavor enhancers. They are great for snacking on pecel or gudangan.
Oh yeah, you know lontong? Lontong is an Indonesian dish made from rice that was developed by the Javanese people. Lontong is commonly served with satay, rujak, rendang, curry goat, and of course lontong opor, which is usually served during Chinese New Year and Eid al-Fitr. Lontong is made from rice wrapped in banana leaves and steamed over boiling water for several hours.
This was my subscription when I was in school, the father used to sell it, but now it has been continued by his son because the father has passed away and the taste is still the same there is a sweet, wry, and spicy taste too because I add chilies and soy sauce as well as onion water provided on the table. I forgot to take a photo of the place where it was sold because we were quickly because it was about to rain so we were afraid of getting rained on because it was also on the side of the road where it was open..hahahaaa...
Very suitable for me who is currently on a diet to reduce rice too.
This is my story on weekends. How about you? I hope you like my story and thank you for taking the time to read my story.

I should be trying this next time when I travel to Semarang. When I was there I was mostly eating lumpia and pork hainan rice, they were so good and I almost forget trying other food.
delicious and famous Semarang lumpia is in gang Lombok called lumpia gang Lombok. u must try this, and I recommended u liked it, but If you order in large quantities you must call first the day before so that it can be prepared and not wait for a long time because there are very in demand and those who buy a lot are also queuing from outside the city.
Now it's your turn to make me hungry, lol!
So they are Gendar Crackers, I thought they were tofu at first. It's nice to know that dish is healthy. Would love to try it out someday.
