New school year

Hello friends:

Tomorrow the new school year starts in Cuba and we have everything ready in advance.

In advance we have already prepared some notebooks with the subjects my child will be taking and we have lined them with paper and nylon to protect the cover. Here they sell some printed paper covers and some painted ones for this purpose, but I preferred to make them myself and put my own stamp on them.

As I didn't have paper big enough to cover the notebooks, what I did was to glue two white sheets lengthwise and with this I lined the notebooks. Then, in a rectangle I wrote the name of the subject and the name of my child.

With wooden colours I made a diagonal striped design (one colour for each subject). To finish, I put a nylon fastened with adhesive tape.

The notebooks were ready and were put in his backpack together with the accessories he will need to carry such as pencils and erasers.

We are excited about the new school start and happy to have everything prepared by our own hands.

Mañana comienza el nuevo curso escolar en Cuba y ya tenemos todo listo con anterioridad.

Por adelantado ya preparamos unas libretas con las asignaturas que dará mi niño y las forramos con papel y nylon para proteger su carátula. Acá venden unos forros de papel impresos y algunos pintados para estos fines, pero preferí hacerlos yo misma y ponerle mi sello.

Como no tenía papel tan grande como para cubrir las libretas, lo que hice fue pegar dos hojas blancas a lo largo y con esto forré las libretas. Luego, en un rectángulo escribí el nombre de la asignatura y el de mi niño.

Con colores de madera les hice un diseño a rayas diagonales (un color para cada asignatura). Para terminar le puse un nylon que ajusté con cinta adhesiva.

Así quedaron listas las libretas que fueron guardadas en su mochila junto a los accesorios que deberá llevar como lápices y gomas.

Estamos entusiasmados con el nuevo inicio escolar y contentos por tener todo preparado justamente por nuestras propias manos.
