Hello to all the members of this community, especially cat lovers! Some time ago, I bought a necklace for my cat Ikki, with a cute pendant in the shape of a fish, which has his name engraved and my contact number. At first he had acquired it only as a flirtatious detail, but now that Ikki is with other black cats, the collar serves to identify him, more than anything when he starts exploring in the field (because it is one of the favorite activities of he). Unfortunately that necklace was damaged and I had to make an improvised one that didn't last long, so I had to look through my things to see if I had material available to make an improvised necklace for her. I usually like to put red ribbons on him, because they stand out so well against his black fur, but the only ribbon he had the thickness of the clasp (which I reused from his first collar), was a tricolor ribbon. So when I went to visit him last Saturday, I started sewing his necklace by hand.

It didn't turn out as delicate as I'd like, since my hand sewing is a bit rough and rushed, but at least I hope it works for you while I get a suitable tape. The procedure to make the necklace is quite easy, I learned by undoing the first necklace and then I got the hang of it. When I make the next collar, I plan to do it with my sewing machine (so that I have a more beautiful and resistant seam hehe) and make a tutorial for anyone who wants to make one for their pets. I even made one for my sister's cat Ying and she looks super cute with it on. Ikki looks pretty cute too, he just hates pictures, so when he sees the phone, he always turns his face haha still, I adore him 😸

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de ésta comunidad, sobre todo a los amantes de los gatos! Hace un tiempo, le compré un collar a mi gato Ikki, con un lindo dije en forma de pez, que tiene su nombre grabado y mi número de contacto. Al principio lo había adquirido únicamente como un detalle coqueto, pero ahora que Ikki se encuentra junto a otros gatos negros, el collar le sirve para identificarlo, más que nada cuando se pone a explorar en el campo (porque es una de sus actividades favoritas). Lamentablemente ese collar se dañó y tuve que realizarle uno improvisado que no le duró mucho, así que me tocó buscar entre mis cosas para ver si tenía material disponible para hacerle un collar improvisado. Por lo general, me gusta colocarle cintas de color rojo, porque resaltan muy bien en su pelaje negro, pero la única cinta que tenía del grosor del broche (el cual reutilicé de su primer collar), era una cinta tricolor. De modo que cuando lo fui a visitar el sábado pasado, me puse a coserle el collar a mano.

No quedó tan delicado como quisiera, dado que mi costura a mano es un poco tosca y apresurada, pero al menos espero que le funcione mientras consigo una cinta adecuada. El procedimiento para realizar el collar es bastante fácil, yo aprendí deshaciendo el primer collar y luego le agarré el truco. Cuando le realice el siguiente collar, tengo pensado hacerlo con mi máquina de coser (para que tenga una costura más bonita y resistente je je) y realizar un tutorial para todo aquel que quiera hacerle uno a sus mascotas. Yo hasta le hice uno al gato de mi hermana Ying y se ve súper encantador con él puesto. Ikki también se ve bastante lindo, sólo que él odia las fotografías, así que cuando ve el teléfono, siempre gira el rostro ja ja aún así, lo adoro 😸
