Corn is one of the important cereal crops in Indonesia, apart from being a staple food substitute for rice in an effort to diversify food, Corn has many benefits for the body because of its nutritional content, including the benefits of reducing hypertension so that it can prevent heart disease. Corn can control diabetes, improve digestion, prevent constipation and hemorrhoids because corn is rich in fiber, it can even reduce the risk of colon cancer. Corn also contains a large amount of magnesium, iron copper, and most importantly phosphorus, which is good for bone health, these nutrients not only prevent bone fractures due to age, but also improve kidney function. Vitamin C, carotenoids and bioflavinoids contained in corn can also keep the heart healthy by controlling cholesterol levels and increasing blood flow in the body.
Corn can be processed like bakwan corn, one of the traditional foods that is very much enjoyed by the people here, besides being delicious, this dish also contains lots of carbohydrates.
besides bakwan corn, corn can also be processed into grits, this food is delicious besides being liked by many children.
